Grant follows the terrorist through the desert, he knows he is close by as he sand hasn't covered the other's shoe marks. Then adruptly the shoe marks stop, it seemed as if the person just flew away. Grant knew this wasn't true and that the person simply realized it was being followed and bagan to cover its tracks. A thing a child could do, Grant thought to himself...
He turned around and walked back to the ruins. But before leaving the desert he turned it once again into a sand storm, even the best adventurer would find it nearly impossible to navigate through. Grant rested then as Vahkos, the never sleeping undead watched over the castle, his eyes scanning through the sand storm for anything hostile.

Cheemona walks trough thr Streets of Troll's Bane, meeting a lot of her friends. Shotly she tells them about the ruins of the castle and the plans to rebuilt it for Carlok. She tells about the fire and the damaged tools, too. Knowing that a few of her friends are really good smithes, she hops that they will be willing to make some tools for the workers.

After talking a lot and explaining everything she finds some who are able to help her. The next day she could get the tools of them she was told and so she goes home with a really good feeling.

It would be a great help for the workers, she though walking trough the streets of Troll's Bane.

The ogres are getting tired, they have had little sleep because they now patrol the castle almost constantly. Grant lets them rest when he is around and they take advantage of that. He sits on a rock silently thinking to himself about the elf girl that crossed into Darlok's territory then fled without payment saying she would never give anything to him. He thinks to himself what was wrong with the girl. Why didn't she just pay? Why did she force him to attack her?
He then realized he had attacked and struck down a woman. A young elf still wet behind the ears, he had struck her down. He remembered the look in her eyes before her body fell lifeless and her spirit left her. A tear almost came to his eye but he shook his face as a scorpion came up to him. He sqawshed the scorpion underneath his boot and muttered "I am getting soft" then walked off to go into the old cave.

Sensitive ears caught Grant's muttering.
As Grant walks away, a black shadow rises from the rocks, quietly, impossible to hear.
Tired ogre guards are resting after days of patrolling. Behind the back of one of the sleeping ogres, a vague shadow slowly becomes opaque. Slight click is heard, and an instant sound of metal cutting air. Like a lightning, a shiny blade of a Silverdagger flies from one ear of the ogre to the other almost without noise.
The second ogre moves in his sleep and awakes to find his partner dead, and no evidence left.

Hmm. You are getting soft, Grant. - Konstantin thinks as he hides behind a tall rock, trying to stay undetected, and watches the anonymous killer walking away via the same trail Mr. K used to come here. - Not keeping your guard up...

Grant marches around disapointed for missing the ogre dieing. But it was a small loss, Orcs now patrol the castle continuously. Skeletons are also standing guard, one of them are at every entrance to the castle.
Grant sits happily on a rock and he thinks to himself "So, you think you can win by killing the ogres do you? Try killing these orcs and skeletons, they are the strongest of their kind and most ruthless... if they caught you..." Grant left the thought unfinished and went to make another windstorm in the desert.

Gargoth walks thru the dessert on his way to the castle, waving his arms and screaming only stopping to spit some sand he slowly progresses thru it. Having had a few beers he seems to find himself lost in the whirling sand he sits down and covers his face with some cloth taking a few breathes. Suddenly, a scorpion he had not noticed stings thru his boot and then sets of across the sands at great speed. Grabbing firmly his waraxe he jumps up and in blind rage starts to chase it trying to hack it. The sand proves to make him loose his aim and over and over he strikes nothing but the ground.

After a while of running he finds himself close to the castle being built and he stops to take a deep breath. His eyes capture the creature running over the ground and with a loud roar he strikes it viciously leaving nothing much left but it's still wiggeling tail.

Gargoth says to himself "So..guard now..me guess.." and walks around the castle a bit, observing the workers. Finding a nice looking rock he takes a seat and sees Grant preforming some magic of sorts. He shouts at the man; "You..human why..make stupid..sand all..fly?! Almost..gets lost..it no..good! Let..intrunder..comes..it more..fun hat..way heeiih! Also..ogre there look..fat..needs bit..of workout." He then picks up a small pebble from the ground and chucks it at the ogre telling it to look alive. Taking out a bottle of beer from his bag, he thinks to himself what a great job it is to sit on a rock in the sun and drink beer as he uncorks the bottle and starts to take some big gulps from it. Gargoth puts his horn to his lips blowing some loud noises in it a few times. Jumping to his feet he swings his huge waraxe a few times over his head and screams at the top of his lungs "Gargoth..guard castle! Run..while..can weaklings!" he thinks to himself how sweet it would be if a plaything longear came along so he could break it apart limb by limb...

Tapping the waraxe against his shoulder he sits and looks around to see if anyone will come uninvited.

Grant finishes casting the sand storm. It last for most of night, he sees Gargoth sitting quietly on the rock sipping his beer. He smiles at the thought of relaxing like that, but a young man like Grant can never really relax, he always has to think of something he should do. So like Grant always does he leaves from making the sand storm and marches past a skeleton guard, he gives the skeleton a nod and the skeleton salutes. He puts his hand on the stone walls, he feels the burns. He does a magic fusion into the walls. Pouring his own magic into the stone, but something happened he didn't expect... With the magic coursing through the stone... Part of the stone came to life... If naturally could not move... But it could feel pain and it knew of it's existance.

'Interesting' Grant thought when he felt the life presence in the stone, then he passed out on the ground, he used to much magic at one time and it drained him of energy, he would be stuck in the castle resting for at least two days.

Furious storms in the deserts tear the sands apart with their magnanimous force. Only the sneaky and the cautious know the paths among the rocks, away from the mighty winds. The desert was roaring all night.

An hour before dawn winds started to calm down. The Ogre guard is drowsing loudly, the skeletons are keeping watch.

A quiet shadow is crawling in the darkness among the rocky paths, taking a detour to avoid the liquored up orc sitting on the rock. The unknown person silently makes it around the corner of the castle, away from the ogres on the opposite side. He crawls along the mountain range, and hides under a rock fragment at a decent elevation. It is a hideout. Suddenly a prepared beforehand crossbow appears in his hands. The shooter aims at the skeleton guard's bony head, ready to crush it, but suddenly... he notices a body lying beside a wall. It is Grant. The shooter can only see a part of his leg from this position.

The shadowed man fires a bolt out of his crossbow into a loose stone in one of the unfinished walls. It makes a sound, and the skeleton reacts, being distracted by the shot, and walks a couple of feet to the right. The man uses this time to change location, and decides to crawl a little more to the left to get a clear shot at Grant's body through an unfinished window, more like a hole in the ctasle wall. The shooter crawls out from under his rock shelter a little, and aims. He pulls the spring of his crossbow, and suddenly he feels someone's strong and cold hand petting his shoulder forcefully.
"How'ya, fellow?"
Two clicks, one quiet slashing sound, and the crossbow hits the ground. So does the body. As the shadow falls, the shadow behind it steps forward and sits down beside the corpse.
"Using popular paths, huh? Very clever." - Konstantin sheaths his daggers on his waist and studies the dead man. The man's throat is sliced, and his stomach has a small deep hole in it. Not much blood, however, is spilled on the ground. K finds a few crossbow bolts with metal tips, an empty bag, and some gold in the man's clothes. He leaves the gold, but takes the bolts. He puts the man's crossbow on his chest and leaves.

After hours of standing guard by the site of the castle, it is once again foodtime.
As there is no meat served this day either, a rage slowly grows inside the orc as he watches the ogres chewing a dead rabbit, causing gelaousy.
After a meal consisting of fish and some rotten cabbage, orc returns to guardduty.

He then starts taking out his anger and dispair by shouting and pushing the workers who seem worked to exhaustion, pushing heavy rocks through the hot desert sand.

As one of the overworked and old ones faints and falls to the ground, a crowd forms around him. Orc quickly orders them back to work and throws a piece of cloth over the unconscious one.

As the workers get back to pushing rocks, orc puts the passed out one on his right shoulder and carries him away. He walks into a nearby cave and mumbles to himself.

As he enters the cave he utters the phrase "yum-yum"...

A few days past and Grant gets lots of rest. He has back to his normal self. Darlok sent him a letter saying he would be gone for 1 week. Grant assumed control of the castle's progress and really wants to get some of the castle's features completed when Darlok returns, so Darlok will be happy and Grant could prove his worth once more.
The orcs that now patrol the castle seemingly endlessly have proven their worth, a lizard and an orc tried to get into the castle, but were stopped and chased off Darlok's land.
Grant sends out letters to all the workers asking them to return to the castle tomorrow to do some more work.

Grant purchased the better part of the need wood for Fedyakin today. He gladly traded the items once common now rare to Gamli. Now not only do Orcs patrol the castle but also a small number of men in Green Woodsman Garb. They wear a green cape with a bow and sword drawn on the back and green pants with arrows point down drawn on the legs.
The Movement men, now outlaws in Trolls Bane are hard faced men, they fought many monsters in their lives and Lyrenzia is just another one of them. Some of the outlaws practice swordfighting, others practice their magic but most of them just rest for the battle they know is coming.
Grant himself is fairly calm, he doesn't think the war Cerd Cordall will launch against himself and the castle will amount to much. He had fought in a war before and it really didn't worry him, he had some of the finest warriors on his side, perhaps it was a foolish thing to relax, perhaps not. Either way, he now sat on a rock looking out into the desert waiting for Fedyakin to come and pick up the wood he had gotten.

The next morning, Cheemona gets up early to collect the new tools from her friends.

Thanks a lot my friends, they will help a lot to finish the work at the castel.

She puts the tools on a wagon and goes out of the town in direction to the castelruins. The sun is burning very strong and she as to make some rests on her way. Under some lonely trees she sits down to rest a bit. Drinking some water she thinks about everything that happens the last days.

After a few minutes she left the place to get to the ruins as fast as possible.

After Fedaykin arrives at the building lot today,
He saw that the new wood was delivered and Cheemona has brought the tools.

First he locks up the tools so nobody could steal or destroy them again.

After that, Fedaykin gives some workers the instruction to build up some new scaffolds with the wood.

COnstuction begins again at the castle. Grant and Ashburg were both tired from sparring with each other, ashburg went to rest down in the cave, but Grant had to make sure the castle was out, a few circles around the castle later he concluded he could rest for a few hours. The Movement men were around, not many of them. The Bloodskulls were around as well, though most of them now guarded their cave because of yesterdays attempted invasion of it by two humans, a male and a female, both using magic.
Finally Grant rested inside the castle leaning against a stone wall. He slept peacefully and undisturbed.

Algoran takes his pick and shovel and starts working on the back wall of the castle. He stops and looks around. He had picked a time of day few people would be working in. The sun, at its highest, beat mercilessly down upon him. Shaking the sweat from his eyes he continued to dig. Chanting an old Orcish song as he swung his pick he settled into a rhythm. Each beat another chip of rock.

It's a warm night caused from the drought. Gorr makes his way through the swamp to the desert till he can see the castle ruins. Only some steps away he sees the two orge guards having a look on entrance of the castle.

Quitely he crawls around the castle so that the orges can't see him. Gorr stand in front of a wall with some frameworks. Now he rises and takes his giant orcish hammer of war.

This is for you, Darlok. Gorr hopes you'll always remember this night...

Suddenly he rises his warhammer into the air, screams a loud war cry and lets the hammer begin to smash everything in it's way, stones, lumber and iron... After many mighty hits Gorr recognizes the orge guards coming with fast steps to him. Gorr throws the hammer in the direction of the ogres and runs as fast as he can.

One of the ogres can follow him till deep in the swamp, but then he loses Gorr's track and returns in a rage to the castle.

Gorr runs in the forest and lays down himself on the ground to sleep. While he is falling asleep he whispers...
This wall must surely be build again with new framesworks...

Gorr is sunken to dream...

As some particularly ugly green bags of flesh and bones both work and guard the building of the castle, Juli climbs a palm tree to the south. Through the sharply serrated fronds she watches the progress, impressed with the building's construction.

"What wonders must lay within," she ponders as she leaned further out on a burdened frond to catch pieces of conversation echoing off the walls.

Orc halts his patrol and feels he is beeing watched...

The sun burns on the metal armor and the sun shines too bright for him to be able to look in the south direction.
He pulls away a waterskin from one of the workers and sips.

He mumbles to himself and looks down into the sand.

"Will Fort of Hell ever be finished? Me grow old and die as guard here? It take soo long....grrr....Be so hot me can boil egg on head...grrr"

He turns around and begins shouting insults and making the life miserable for the stonepushers, as his mood gets worse...

After a while it seems to improve his mood to the better...

As night falls over yet another day of guard duty, Gargoth the orc sits and rest a bit on a rock looking up at the starlith sky. Suddenly his stomach growls violently and he remembers how hungry he really is...

His own meat stock is running low and he had been living mostly on fish and some onions wich he had stored some time ago. The waters now empty with food he was close to panic as every day passed without a decent meal. Taking out a bottle of beer from his bag he thinks to himself as he opens it "hope Darlok remember get beer for guarding skulls like said..." Looking at the dark sky with the stars shining even the night offers little chance to cool down from the days blistering heat. He calmly sips his beer and just as the refreshing fluid gently slides down his throat he yet again feels the burning hunger for a meal of good meat.

Grunting and growling aggitated by much he stands up, small pebbles under his feet he knows his boots are becoming worn out on top of everything else. Tilting his head back and closing his eyes he finishes the bottle of beer with some swift gulps, the bottle is casually thrown aside shattering against a nearby rock. The moving of a sleeping ogre can be heard as it turns on it's side to see what the noise was, not seeing anything of interrest it simply nods back to sleep.
Gargoth begins to walk swiftly away from the castle taking a detour around the dessert, his eyes and ears are searching around him as he picks up the pace and quietly runs thru the barren land. The air feels hot and dry and he stops from time to time to rest, taking a drink from the foul tasting river that no longer seems to bear any life. He kneels down over the river, yet again the growl from his stomach can be heard but he knows what he is about to get and his stern face turns into a large grin.

Slowly getting on his feet he makes haste to do what he set out to do....

Without continued disturbances the Workers at the construction side have made impressive progress.

Dwarven architecture, combined with all other elements of racial construction has been melted together to the first part of an awesome Stronghold.

As orc watches the impressive stronghold he feels the need to uncork a bottle of some yellow liquid and celebrate what has been accomplished...

"Yubyub...mighty fort...yubyub" he mumbles and drinks...
As it is strictly forbidden to drink during guardduty, two huge ogres happen to catch him in the act and shake their heads.
As orcs pulse increases he drops the bottle to the ground which breakes into many pieces of glass.
The following hours the ogreguards wrestle the orc down and teach him a lesson in discipline by pushing his head into the moat which surrounds the castle.

The castle sure is starting to look impressive, despite attempts of some citizens to destroy it. Darlok seems to be progressing regardless of what his enemies try. Soon enough I believe he will be victorious at his aim.

After disbatching nearly 4 trespassers Grant sits on the wooden bridge leaning against the castle. He worked for so long, killed so much, but he could not see an end to this. He couldn't see the castle being built and him being able to relax. He would have to defend the castle forever... There would always be Malachin want to bes trying to kill the evil Darlok and his castle.
It would be so much easier if Grant just walked off, left Darlok alone against Lyrenzia and its army. The Bloodskulls were already talking about leaving because of the stolen depots, it was by sheer luck and quick talking that Grant was able to keep their loyalty and trust in Darlok. Even so some of the orcs weren't guarding the castle anylonger.
He was angry at Darlok for never being around, he felt unappreciated. He made Darlok's castle happen. He made the alliance with the Bloodskulls. He made the orcs guard the castle. He fought off every trespasser that came. He died and killed for Darlok, but what was he getting out of it? A simple "Thank you" from Darlok? He would probably die for this stupid castle, but for what reason was he going to die for it? He wasn't even able to look inside the damn castle that he bleed for!
He had already ruined his reputation for standing shoulder to shoulder with Darlok. His group the Movement probably would have been more successful if he hadn't sided with Darlok... He could rebuild it and turn on Darlok... 'No no I can't do that...' Grant thought.
He was Darlok's friend. And he knew or he thought or perhaps he hoped that Darlok would stand shoulder to shoulder with Grant, even if Darlok knew that he himself might die... 'He would die for me... Wouldn't he?' Grant thought to himself. Slowly betraying thought crept into his mind. 'He doesn't give a crap about you prince... He wouldn't care if you died... As long as his castle got built he would be happy... Thats not true... He would care..' Grant conflicted with himself as the sun began to set...

A hood figure emerges from the shadows near the castle. He stares closely at the castle as if trying to get it to speak to him. He mutters

How do I get leverage over this Darlok?? What does he want that I can take away?? All the others are easy to get control of but him what could he possible want or need.

The hooded figure continues to stare at the castle. He withdraws a dagger and pokes it through a note. The note reads I accept this challenge that you have given. Prepare yourself for the fun times ahead.Throws the dagger at the wall and slips away into the shadows whence he came

An orc appears behind the iron bars swinging a dagger and grunting.
With his gazing red eyes he tries to convince the elf that such a thing cannot be done...
Also that the risks are too great...

Between the ironbars, he pours out a bucket containing of some red liquid and a couple of red lumps. He laughs and utters the only word in elvish which he has ever learned.
The word he utters, means food...

His laughter gets louder as he leaves the elf to his fait...

His cloths and hair are slightly burnt from the small flame Rynt had cast upon him. But he rested. He would look into the library for a book which would give Darlok's forces an incredible advantage on the battle field. But for now he would rest. His fist hurt a little from where he had hit Rynt.
He lay in the castle on the smooth marble floor, he remembered he needed to infuse the stones with more magic so they would have more resistance to offensive spells. He smiled and feel asleep calmly.
