As the spectacle played out and was over, the short pale blond haired woman, who had made an attempt to bribe some of the crew, along with the man accompanying her called "Grapes", seemed to have disappeared totally. It is unclear if they were a part of the ritual and went with the man called Morden and the treasure or simply had success with their bribe and a crewman hid them until they could disembark from the ship. No amount of searching seems to have found them and nothing remained in their cabin but a trap for those unwary.

Later back at Hemp Necktie there is a prominent message hung with a short arrow on the board near Borgate...

A man called Morden or Penumbra cheats on his payments. I would advise not to accept any job.

The message was signed with a simple

((sorry Rincewind. I totally forgot your last post.))

In the middle of the chaos the bulky man notices the elfess who stands on his back and grabs his hand. He leans his head towards the elfess and whispers to her:

"Seems its not goin´right for you now. I can help you gettin´out of here."

The man gestures her to follow. He grabs an old linen sheet that lays on some barrels and covers the elfess with it. If she wouldnt refuse that offer he would guide her to the lower deck to a small cabine, hiding the elfess there till the ship reaches a harbour.

"It wont be long till the Maroon Islands. There we can leave that ship. You must know, the captain is very revengeful."

As the rest of the crew, Ghuston and the captain can´t find anyone of the mercenaries, they assumed it must be the same magic as Morden used to leave this place.

The ship finally reaches a harbour, where they refresh their rations, preparing for the next adventure ...

She didn't expected to escape that smoothly. While checking on the last sip of black brew she asked herself why the man helped her. Did he really care for her under his lascivious shell? Or did he sense about the ugly mess an escalation might have caused under his mates? It didn't matter, one of the gods hold a sheltering hand above one of them. Her battle potions remained plugged in her bag and silently she thanked Ronagan for it. In opposite to the others she still expected payment, especially since a raven found her soon after landing on one of the Maroon Islands, bearing the message that the mission has proven to be a great success. After the straining trip over the lunatic sea she was in an exceptional good mood and wished to celebrate. With a slight smile she slurped the last sip of the brew seconds before she entered the shady bedroom he rented in an even shadier tavern.

"My brave Hero."

She whispered softly and glanced him struggling a bit with the tight rope around his wrists, her smile grew bigger. Maybe he could brake the bed and whole furniture with his bare hands but so far all man allowed her to get what she wanted. Acting almost like a cat she crawled on hands and knees towards him.

"You saved me and did all the work, the strong sailor earned exceptional reward indeed. . ."

She purred into his ear before she kissed it. While she undressed slowly she felt that familiar cold shiver running down from her neck to her spine. It would be the last time he sees her so she made sure he took a good look before she leaned over to quench the flickering candle. In the darkness she sighed relieved and finally allowed her to be her real self again.
