Grimghor strolls merrily along the outer walls of Trolls Bane, dragging a poor, exhausted looking mule along by the reigns. The mule snuffed irritably as the orc smacked a beefy hand down on its head a few times, in a manner the orc probably considered to be affectionate.

“C’mon Finkleberreh!! We goin’ to dah next forest now!!”

The mule huffed even louder, by now realising that the orc’s version of affection really just meant more work. Grimghor’s stride slowed as the parchment caught his eye, and he gave a thoughtful, if not slightly surprised:

“Hrm..?”

His yellow eyes edged their way over the inky letters, and he would pause briefly from time to time, mouthing the larger words that he found more taxing to read; larger words’ being more than four letters for the orc. Grimghor’s eyes grew wide as its meaning sunk in.

“Krazen! Why you nub ask Grimghor if him wantin’ tah join first?!”

The orc remarked to himself with a mixture of sock and disapproval. With a low grunt he reached into his bag, and producing a scrunched up parchment, along with a small pot of greenish goo. The orc dipped his finger inside the little pot, smoothed out the parchment, and began to write. The result was an unusually moist and unpleasant smelling parchment with dripping letters melting down its length. Grimghor grunted in satisfaction before pinning it below Krazen’s original note with the aid of a rusted hatchet.
Krazen!

Grimghor wish tah join yer mighteh warband! Meh can cook real goodleh, an’ uh realleh, REALLEH HATE GNOMES!! Can even make dem intah uh nice pie fer yoo. Meh do anneh job, as long as it beh smashin’ or othah manleh tasks.

With meh huge muscles, meh will protect yoo.

As Hew is trying to sneak into Trollsbane, a keg of beer and long chat with Borgate on his mind, he stops suddenly at the sight of a large note hanging on the wall. Squinting hard and mouthing the words as he reads them a small smile comes to his face. Nervously glancing all around he digs in his pack and pulls out a small piece of coal. As he starts to make his mark on the notice he stops, his brow creases as a thought enters his mind. Speaking quietly to himself he mutters "Maybes this be a bad idea puttin me mark here on tha wall of this place." With that thought he pockets his coal and looking around again heads off down the road. Once secure in the shadows of a tree he takes a small piece of parchment , scribbles a quick note then rolls it up and ties it to a yellow canary. "Off ya go me little friend." With that done he heads back to Borgates, nothing but beer on his mind.

I am in need of one or two mercenaries. Hand a note to Fred to Sylvester. He will give it to me to make an appointment for discussing salary and assignment.
