Official Troll's Bane Crafters ParchmentGreetings to all, it is my opinion that the time for Troll's Bane to assist its crafters has been delayed long enough. The goal of this parchment and the policies to be outlined is to better allow for crafters to advertise their needs to potential sellers of materials. They may also make notices of willingness to sell their final products. But as everyone knows there is already an area on the wall for one time buying and selling ((trade forum)). I request citizens continue to utilize that space for those purposes. This is for longer term advertising -- who crafts what, who will need what materials over a longer period of time, and so forth. Items that the town is buying and selling will also be posted here for those to look over. The town is also now offering subsidies to crafters on a limited basis -- the details of this are farther below. It is my hope that this will make it easier for people to get in touch with crafters they need, material sellers they need, and so forth. Crafter Subsidies
Crafting can take a lot of money to start. Whether you are new to town or are looking to enter a new craft you are eligible to request crafting materials from the town. The total cost of the materials cannot exceed 20 silver per request, with one request per person per week. One may either make the request publicly or mail me a private letter. This is how the procedure will work:
1) Request is received
2) *The town must have available funds at the time to complete the request
3) An offer to buy the needed materials is posted by the town
4) *A seller must be found or the request must be denied
-If multiple sellers are available they will be accepted in this priority: Citizen -- Resident -- Outsider
5) Once a material seller is found the goods will be sold to the town, then the town will hand over the materials to the crafter who made the request
Crafter Loans
Similar to the crafter subsidy but faster and easier. The town is willing to loan a citizen crafter an amount of 10 silver (subject to change). This exchange will be done immediately and will be kept track of. Within a dwarven month the crafter must pay back the loan with interest for a total of 12 silver -- within a dwarven month. If they are unable to pay in this time then the town is willing to be flexible. But any fraud with crafting loans or subsidies will be treated as fraud, a town crime.
