Councilor Nominations and Voting

Post by Fooser »

With the unfortunate passing of Seredoc, it seems we have a council opening that needs to be filled quickly. All those who wish to nominate themselves may do so here. Those who nominate others must have that person later verify their desire to be a part of the election. The election will be held in private two days from now ((April 14 11am EST)) and will also last for two days.

The winner will serve the remainder of the term, around 5 months.

Nominations may be done below:

With a mischievious look in her dark eyes Cay adds a parchment to the board.

I nominate Felix Atelhier for Councilor.

Caynwyn Atelhier

With a giggle she walks away muttering softly "now to just get him to agree"

Voting

Votes placed publicly here will not count.

Due to complaints about the previous process the new rules state all election will be done with private ballots. A neutral resident, Celdea, has been chosen to be the counter. The council has approved this choice.

Please direct your votes to her.

Nominees
Orioli Shaldra
Orren Paddick
Alexander Knight

Votes can only be for one of these nominees and the vote must be SIGNED by a current citizen to count. Voting ends in two dwarven days ((April 16 11am EST))

Dear citizens of Trolls Bane, here are the results:

Orioli Shaldra 2
Orren Paddick 4
Alexander Knight 0

I want to note: I am horrified how less citizens have voted. Only 6! I didnt know that you have that less interest in the town

Dear Celdea,
I do not think that these feeble numbers are due to lack of interest in politics for the 50 or so citizens of Bane. Maybe the whole event was too limited in time and not sufficiently publicized. For ma part, I was travelling and I came back 2 hours short to vote for my favourite candidate: Orioli.
Not that I disagree with Mister Paddick election, he is certainely a good man...
Democracy is not an easy way to govern, I guess.
