Arrival

((closed RP except for those at Nordmark, English or German fine))

Theirs was a single sail rudder ship not as long as most. The small space covered with thick cloth was their only cover from the drowning rain that seemed to mar the trip. Taking off her fur collar in the now stiffling humidity, Tinya rests at the bow letting what cool wind there was blow on her face not caring how wet she got as her usual mop of curly blonde hair finally as straight as she would like, drips on her cheeks unnoticed. Though proud of her barbarian heritage it was with some difficulty she tried to accept that her Far had given them to another Jarl. Proving himself many times over by how valiantly he fought as he helped her clan, even with his oath to protect them as his own, she was unsure how to act near him and as usual when unsure, she proceeded to act more of a child, nuisance, troublemaker then usual to her sister's obvious consternation. Even though Tinya wouldn't dare tell Ylvie, she was forever grateful she was near yet would purposefully stay on the opposite side of the ship rather then let her suspect. Using her horn to emphasize some words, she begins to sing a song modifying it slightly for the present probably more to relieve her worry then to entertain:

He comes from the south
With red hot fire wargods swords
shines like the sun
Mountains breaks, men on road
The heaven crumbles.

Her eyes now get a gleam of mischief

They will come to slay the wolf
The swords run into the
heart of Hverdrungson
So our clan is avenged.

When all are gone
Only we remain
Passing his hand of fire
And walking away
with two maidens fair.

Narrowing her eyes looking at each man in turn as if defying them to contradict, her cheeks blush at the rowdy laughter she now hears and she mumbles quietly turning toward the choppy waves of the sea "Well, at least one beautiful maiden" glancing quickly toward Ylvie two years her senior.

Tired from the long journey she sat solely on her allocated place, daydreaming as one might assume while watching her. She learned to fade out listening to the rough jokes of the men on board, only caring for herself, her sister and the words and belongings of her new Jarl.

The moving of her sister caught her attention, causing her to keep an eye on her and not following her former thoughts about the reason why her Far has given them to the new Jarl, causing them to move so far from their homeland which she has never been so far from.
And yet again she started to feel anxious about the new lands coming closer hour by hour.

As the firstborn she had to be relied upon. She had to learn everything as the Jarls daughter from when she was old enough to understand. Diplomacy, leading, ruling and over all the safety of their tribe. Never in her whole life of now seventeen winters has she ever doubted a single word of her Far. But how could he give them away so freely? Sure, from the logic and practial way it was the solely decision he could have made. Thus, even if she dares not to speak about her thoughts, they are within her mind. Quickly she chased off her thoughts, turning them to a lighter topic.

Despite the raining weather they had all over their journey, the never ending clashing of waves against their ship, the company of her sister was a welcomed changing of the usual happenings.
Knowing her, from the first minute she was born, her love for her sister has grown. Never would she let someone harm her, for certain.

Seeing her sister standing alone in the ships bow, a soft smile crosses her lips. Yet at the age of 15 she has become a little more grown up. The way she moves, acts, walks, the whole way of her being changed from childish over yet still tomboyish at times into a more seriousness.
Listening to her sisters poem lets another smile cross her face, but also causing her to raise one eyebrow.

Catching the brief look of Tinya she tilts her head which causes the hood of her cape to slip down, revealing her silvery-blonde hair. A soft laugh escapes her as the rain soaks her hair, refreshing her mind. She tilts her head up into the sky, enjoying the raindrops on her face for a moment before she turns on her place to see if by chance something has changed on the horizon, that the land they were heading to finally was coming visibly closer.

Tinya's hair softly blows in the moonlit breeze from shore as she excitedly leans over the rail staring intently at the new land. The plan was all to go ashore tomorrow, yet as she takes a deep breath of the night air trying to see anything ashore, she knew she couldn't wait one minute longer. A new land to explore, new people far from her old village with someone whom she admitted to herself, though would never tell him, was a very capable leader who attracted the bravest fighting men from the village. For the first time she no longer was so upset with her Far, how many got this chance in the life of their village? Daydreaming of what they likely would find kept her unable to lay still in bed as she tossed and turned fitfully, finally quietly dressing as sleep eluded her. With a small smile, Tinya reasoned that there was only one alternative, so packing a bag and placing a dagger in her belt, she walked the gangplank setting first foot on this beautiful island of Gobaith leaving a parchment on the table in their cabin for Ylvie.

"Sleep is elusive, I will nah be gone long.

Tinya"

Deciding to avoid the forest for now possibly exploring it later, Tinya's footsteps lead her toward a light seen in the distance then some buildings. Quinching her thirst at the well, she turns her head toward the clear night sky as her soul expands with the multitude of unidentified smells and sounds tingling her senses. Deciding to avoid the man in one building seeing him briefly as he cleaned off the bar stiffling a giggle when he reached under his kilt to scratch, Tinya finally arrives at the other side of the peninsula then sits on the bank watching dawn break with a deep sigh of satisfaction while making a breakfast of an apple picked from a tree nearby totally forgetting the note left for Ylvie.
