The Knighthood of Eastmark

For many long years, the name Kallahorn has either struck fear in the hearts of those that hear it or.. simply make men laugh in mock of the name. I, being a Rothman, came to the isle and found that this.. nature of the way men look at my brother's Knighthood couldn't unanswered. I rebuilt his old idea and breathed new life into these ashes. My plans were misguided and my path dimly lit. I hired men that were formally bandits to.. cause these same men harm because of their jestful nature towards the name.

Through this brief membership, through hours of sitting back and simply laughing at those that said I was doing wrong, and accepting more and more members that carried a poor repetition I learned the ways of Leadership. Through the words of honorable men, I learned that even though I hired men with bad repetitions, it wasn't them that gave the Kallahorn name a tarnished mirror once more. It was I, and my leadership that caused it to crumble even further then where I had started. Ashes.

Ever since I came to this isle, I simply scoffed at the idea of a Knighthood being one without proper noble representation, land, and being Knighted by a noble. Through this new Knighthood, the ideal of a Knighthood will reign supreme. On my homeland, you simply cannot declare a Knighthood so. You must have a Lord leading it, an estate to protect, and something that it stands for. The idea of.. glorified Knights and women in distress is more of a fairy tale then a reality.

Though, techinically our job is to keep the land around Eastmark and Trolls Vein safe, Eastmark shall and will be protectors of Trolls Bane. We will do our best to protect the towns, the people, and the over all welfare of this isle. Our goals will be posted at a later time.

The question that many would ask, why join a Knighthood without benefits? When joining the Knighthood, you will be given the chance to join a family and unite under one banner. You will be offered free training and free supplies and armor as you rise in rank.

The High Council of Eastmark

The High Council of Eastmark is the ruling elite, a status where only the ones that have dedicated their lives to the order can get to and have proven through extraordinary deeds. They are the High mages and Knights of the Order. They make decisions and are allowed to accept new members into the Knighthood. They're duty is to run the Knighthood though means of diplomacy, building, equipment, and the overall running of the Knighthood.

Council meetings are held, voting on certain ideas and conflicts within the Knighthood. They are allowed to make decisions on there own in times of emergency aslong as it does not remove a fellow High Council member from office. The current members of the High Council are posted below.

Rules and principles of the Knighthood:

ARTICLE ONE
  • The laws of the Knighthood are strict but simple:

    1.) One may use his skills with a blade if he is engaged in a duel or fighting for the rights that are outlined below. If any alumni of the Knighthood attacks someone for unjust reasons or personal gain, the aforementioned individual will be banished from the knighthood, depending on his previous offenses and the extent of the crime. The Knighthood will assist the town in capturing the individual in the town that the crime was committed for trial or jail time.

    2.) All members will be urged to train their skills with a blade. Since our Knighthood is more a brotherhood in terms of the way we interact with one another, training expeditions will be scheduled at least twice a week. ((Most likely on the weekends when all can be available.))


    3.) If you are ordered by a higher ranking official to do something, you are required to do it. If the thing asked of you goes against the rules and/or regulations of the Knighthood, then you shall contact the first knight for help in sorting out the matter.

    4.) Unwavering loyalty to not only the Knighthood but also the Castle that is currently under construction.

    5.) Never attack ones back unless they turn in combat on you.

    6.) Dishonoring a lady is not allowed. This law is strictly enforced.

    7.) Never flee a battle no matter the circumstances unless you are by yourself. Never leave a fellow knighthood member alone to take on multiple fighters.

    8.) Stand for the honor of the name of Kallahorn and the knighthood as whole. When you hear rumors or insults that tarnish the name, you should react in a calm and knightly manner.

    9.) When you are accepted within the Knighthood, you are asked to give a oath to the Knighthood. You must honor this oath. If you must leave the Knighthood for personal matters or break any rule of the oath given, you must first ask a higher ranking member of the Knighthood for permission to do so. Only Knights and higher ranking members are allowed to give the admittance oath.

    10.) Never decline a duel to the death or honor.

    11.) Members of Kallahorn are not allowed to be part of a clan, order, guild or other communities which are not part or affiliated with Kallahorn. The Knights may make exceptions.

    12.) Members of Kallahorn shall use shields supplied by the Knights encrested with the Knighthood symbol from now on. They can get any shield in there depot painted with the Lion of Kallahorn.

Rules and Regulations that Knights are asked to follow within town's borders in compliance with there laws :

  • ~~1: Murder and Assault~~
    Murder and Assault is use of a weapon for the physical harm of another, perhaps even causing death, for no legitimate reason. Verbal provocation is NOT considered a legitimate reason to use a weapon on another individual. Self-defense is when one individual feels their safety, or the safety of others is in danger. Self-defense and that will not be prosecuted. First case of assault will receive a few weeks ban from the Knighthood. Continued problems will be a possible permanent banning of the offending individual.

    ~~2: Theft~~
    Stealing of property, or borrowing and then refusing to return. First cases will be a court date, depending on the amount stolen, and further cases will receive longer bans and/or fines. If the offending individual returns the items, no actions will be taken.

    ~~3: Kidnap~~
    Taking someone without their permission and hiding them somewhere unknown, usually for money, or other gain. If someone does this to a Kallahorn member, or does it to any person, they will be searched for and punished.

    ~~4: Harassment~~
    Harassment is taken seriously in Kallahorn and goes against keeping order on the isle. First time offenders will be banned for a short period.

    ~~5: Escaping Arrest ~~
    If a banned criminal or wanted individual refuses arrest, the knighthood members are given strict permission to pursue and attack the criminal. If he/ she is to escape, he/ she will be an official enemy of the Kallahorn.


    ~~6: Knighthood Crest~~
    All members of the Knighthood are required to wear a tunic with the following designs or have it painted or smelted into his/her's armor. Tunics will be provided.

Treaties, Contracts, and Alliances of the Knighthood:


The Knighthood of Kallahorn and the orc horde, known as The SkullCrushers have reached a agreement on alliance. Both offer there protection to one another in times of need. They are bond not only by there word but by a ancient blood tie ritual performed by a shaman. If the alliance is broken, strict actions will be taken out on the offender.

Kallahorn/Goldburg wrote:On this day, Chos 18, year 24, the Knighthood of Kallahorn and the settlement of Goldburg have agreed on a contract involving the following terms: free trade, peace, and free training between the two separate organizations.

Goldburg and Kallahorn shall remain at peace until the Knighthood of Kallahorn declares war on a faction or town that is allied with the settlement of Goldburg. Should Kallahorn never declare war on any town or faction allied to Goldburg or it's allies, the two organizations shall remain at peace until something happens or one of the factions dies.

As a sign of peace, forgiveness, and debt to the dwarven people, the Knighthood of Kallahorn offers free training to the settlement of Goldburg should they ask it. Of course, with any contract, not every member of Kallahorn has to agree to train any dwarven member. I, Sir Julius Rothman, will take on the responsibilities of training the Goldburg members until I receive word from any other member that wishes to do so as well.

This contract is bonded by word and the honor of those men that sign it. The assignees agree to the written document above. The contract is only valid when all signatures are below the parchment.

Articles of Advancement:

Page:

In order for advancement as a page, a member must improve in defensive and offensive sets and tactical warfare. Pages must also attempt to excel at improving intellectual studies. Learning the history of the gods, the isle, and the overall world. A small test of advancement will be given to the page for advancement administered by a Knight. A minimal of four months ((ig months)) is needed in the Knighthood for any page to take the test if he has the requirements as above. It will also take approval for the squire.

A active recruiter and donator will also be given more consideration for advancement within the order.


Squire

The Squire must become a Knight in terms of battle and mind. They must polish there raw skills as they learned as a page and sharpen there history of more in depth studies. In order to become a Knight, a Squire must promote one page, serve in the Knighthood for eight months ((ig months)) (with exceptions). They must past tests of combat, intellect, and other tests of Knightly feats. As said above, a squire that is a good recruiter and active in donating in building projects will be given even more advancement within the order.

Novice

A Novice must have a intense understanding of the ancient language, the isle, and study various forms of magic. They will be taught by the Grandmaster Magus, who will make them undergo intense mental training and studying. In order to advance, a Novice must pass a test given by the Grandmaster Magus. 3 members are raised in rank from this position to Disciple for teaching of runes depending on test scores and loyality.

Disciple

A disciple must continue his research about the world around him, various types of magic, and began to be taught certain runes. They will be taught and overseen by the Grandmaster Magus or any mage that can teach and taught most of the runes that he/she sees fit. They must protect the towns, the isle, and use other forms of defense to better the Kallahorn name to advance. Unlike the fighting side of the Knighthood, members of the Arcanum Secuutus are advanced on how hard they study, and how fast they improve, not tenure in the Knighthood. Only the Grandmaster Magus can advance members. In order to advance from Disciple to Magus, the Disciple has to take a test given by each Magus and by the Grandmsater

Regeln und Prinzipien der Knighthood

Artikel 1

Die Regeln der Knighthood sind streng, doch einfach:

1.) Es ist gestattet, sein Schwert zu ziehen, sollte man zu einem Duell gefordert, oder in einen Kampf hineingezogen werden, aus den unten angeführten Gründen. Sollte ein Mitglied der Knighthood jemanden aus unlauteren Gründen oder zu seinem eigenen Vorteil angreifen, so wird das Mitglied ausgeschlossen werden, abhängig von der schwere seines Verbrechens und etwaigen vorhergehenden Vorkommnissen.
Die Knighthood wird der Siedlung, in der das Verbrechen begangen wurde, dabei helfen das Mitglied zu fangen um ihn einer Verhandlung und etwaigen Gefängnissstrafe zuzuführen.

2.) Alle Mitglieder sind angewiesen ihre Waffenfertigkeiten zu schulen. Da in unserer Knighthood eher ein Umgang zwischen den Mitgliedern vorherrscht wie in einer Bruderschaft, werden Trainingsexpeditionen zweimal wöchentlich angesetzt werden ((Aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach am Wochenende, wenn alle Zeit haben))

3.) Erteilt ein höhergestelltes Mitglied dir einen Befehl so bist du verpflichtet ihn zu befolgen. Sollte dich der Befehl veranlassen, entgegen den Regeln und/oder Regulierungen der Knighthood handeln zu müssen, so solltest du den Ersten Ritter davon in Kenntnis setzen um die Sache aufzuklären.

4.) Unerschütterliche Loyalität nichtnur der Knighthood gegenüber sondern auch gegenüber der gerade im Bau befindlichen Burg.

5.) Greife niemanden rücklings an, außer er dreht dir im Kampfe den Rücken zu.

6.) Es ist verboten eine Dame zu entehren. Diese Regel wird streng kontrolliert.

7.) Flüchte niemals aus einem Kampf, egal aus welchem Grund es sei denn du bist alleine. Lass nie ein anderes Mitglied der Knighthood zurück um gegen mehrere Gegner kämpfen zu müssen.

8.) Spreche und handle der Knighthood und dem Namen Kallahorn zu ehren. Hörst du Gerüchte oder Beleidigungen die den Namen in den Schmutz ziehen so reagiere ruhig und bedacht, und mit höfischer Gesinnung auf dieses.

9.) Bei deiner Aufnahme in die Knighthood musst du einen Eid auf dieselbe schwören. Du musst diesen Eid ehren. Musst du die Knighthood verlassen (aus persönlichen Gründen) oder siehst du dich gezwungen dem Eid zuwiderhandeln zu müssen, so frage zuerst ein höhergestelltes Mitglied der Knighthood um Erlaubnis. Nur Ritter und höhere Mitglieder als diese sind berechtigt den Eintrittseid abzunehmen.

10.) Versage niemandem ein Duell auf Ehre oder Leben und Tod, der dich dazu fordert.

11.) Mitgliedern von Kallahorn ist es nicht gestattet Teil eines Clans, Ordens, einer Gilde oder anderen Vereinigung zu sein die nicht Teil Kallahorns ist oder Beziehungen mit Kallahorn unterhaltet. Die Ritter entscheiden über Ausnahmen.

Regeln und Regulierungen die Ritter innerhalb von Siedlungen, in Übereinstimmung mit deren Gesetzen befolgen sollen:

~~1: Mord und Angriff~~

Mord und Angriff sind definiert als das Zufügen von physischen Verletzungen bishin zu tödlichen Wunden an einer anderen Person ohne einen legitimen Grund für selbige Gewaltanwendung.
Verbale Provokation ist KEIN Rechtfertigungsgrund zum Ziehen einer Waffe gegen eine andere Person.
Selbstverteidigung ist definiert als Waffenanwendung zum Schutz der eigenen Sicherheit oder der Sicherheit anderer. Fälle von Selbstverteidigung werden nicht verfolgt.
Bei erstmaligem Verstoß gegen diese Regel wird das betroffene Mitglied für einige Wochen aus der Knighthood verbannt. Sollte das Mitglied sein Verhalten nicht ändern so wird dies zu einem permanenten Ausschluss aus der Knighthood für selbiges Mitglied führen.

~~2:Diebstahl~~

Ist der Diebstahl von fremden Eigentum, oder die Leihe ohne die Absicht auf Rückgabe. Bei erstmaligem Verstoß kommt es zu einer Verhandlung, sollte der Wert der gestohlenen Güter diesen Aufwand rechtfertigen. Weitere Vergehen ziehen längere Verbannungen und höhere Strafen nach sich. Sollte der Begeher der Tat die Güter zurückgeben, werden keine Maßnahmen gesetzt werden.

~~3:Entführung~~

Ist das Festhalten einer Person gegen ihren Willen an einem geheimen Ort, üblicherweise um Lösegeld oder einen anderen Vorteil zu erpressen.
Sollte jemand ein Mitglied Kallahorns entführen oder sonst jemanden so wird er aufgespürt und zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden.

~~4:Beleidigung~~

Beleidigungen werden in Kallahorn schwer bestraft, da sie die Ruhe und Ordnung auf der ganzen Insel empfindlich stören.
Bei erstmaligem Vergehen wird das betreffende Mitglied für kurze Zeit gebannt.

~~5:Widerstand gegen eine Festnahme~~

Wenn ein Verbannter oder Gesuchter sich einer Festnahme widersetzt, so ist es Mitgliedern der Knighthood gestattet ihn zu verfolgen und anzugreifen. Sollte er/sie entkommen, so wird er/sie offiziell als Feind von Kallahorn ausgerufen werden.

~~6:Wappen der Knighthood~~

Alle Mitglieder der Knighthood sind verpflichtet eine Tunika mit dem Wappen der Ritterschaft oder Rüstung mit aufgemaltem oder aufgeschmiedeten Wappen zu tragen. Tunikas werden zur Verfügung gestellt.

Bestimmungen für den Aufstieg innerhalb der Knighthood

Page:

Um vom Rang des Pagen aufzusteigen muss sich das Mitglied in verschiedenen offensiven und defensiven Kampfarten und taktischer Kriegsführung schulen. Pagen müssen sich außerdem in geistigen Studien bewähren.
Der Page soll die Geschichte der Götter, der Insel und der Welt an sich lernen und verinnerlichen.
Ein kleiner Test wird vor dem Aufstieg die Fähigkeiten des Pagen testen, unter der Aufsicht eines Ritters.
Grundsätzlich muss der Page schon für 4 Monate ((1 RL Monat)) in der Knighthood dienen um den Test ablegen zu dürfen, sollte er oben genannte Anforderungen erfüllen. Außerdem braucht der Page die Zustimmung seines ihm vorangestellten Knappen.

Ein aktiver Werber und Spender wird bevorzugt behandelt wenn es um seinen Aufstieg im Orden geht.

Knappe:

Der Knappe muss sich zum Ritter entwickeln, was sein Kampfgeschick und seinen Geist betrifft. Er muss seine Fertigkeiten veredeln, die er sich als Page angeeignet hat und auch seine geistigen Studien vertiefen.
Um ein Ritter zu werden muss ein Knappe acht Monate ((2 RL Monate)) in der Knighthood dienen, und einen Pagen selbst zum Knappen ausbilden.
Er muss einen Test des Kampfes, des Geistes und andere Tests von ritterlichen Tugenden bestehen.

Wie bereits beim Pagen erwähnt wird ein aktiver Werber und Spender bevorzugt behandelt wenn es um seinen Aufstieg im Orden geht.

We hereby declare the faction previously known as The Knighthood of Kallahorn renewed. The lands that were bought, strived for, and made by them are under our possession. The Knighthood of Kallahorn declares it's allegiance to the isle and any peace loving faction. The purpose of this guild is to train, serve, and protect this isle to the best of our abilities.

The Knighthood of Kallahorn was a distinguished and proud organisation. Having many up and down years, years of inactivity, and years of triumph and victory. The name has been tarnished since the days of renown, the days of Stephen Rothman and the true Knights of the isle. We shall restore not only the glory of these men, but we shall smelt and remould the name of Kallahorn.

As always, bearing not only the name of Kallahorn but also others in our Knighthood with similar names in terms of reputation, we wish to make it clear that we are a neutral faction. We will do our best to protect the towns, the people, and the over all welfare of this isle. Our goals will be posted at a later time.

A meeting will be held in 4 dwarven days ((Saturday)). All leaders and members are expected to be there. I hereby declare a tournament that well take place on the 16th of Chos ((Sunday February 10th, GMT 18:00)). The winners well be awarded the right to compete in the Great Race of Gobaith under the name of the Crimson Wolf. If they go on and win they shall have the honor of donating their winnings to the Order to further our goals.

TO ARMS!

The Knighthood of Gobaith refuses to deal peacefully with us and denies us lands that are rightfully ours. In return of this recent naive decision on their part, the Order is calling for war against their faction. Be it by sword or political stances, the over all goal will be to obtain the lands of my Brother known as, Kallahorn. Let it be known that we must hurry, for Dantagon and his "Knights" wish to tear down the building that was strived for, and ultimately built by Stephen Rothman.

Dain Laiden, Former member of the True Knights of this isle, has agreed to help us in our goal of obtaining these lands. Once the lands are secured, a fortress will be built and we will return to our peaceful ways. All members should abide by town rules and laws when seeing a member of the enemy faction. We are not waring against other towns but one entity. If you are attacked within a town, you may retreat with usage of arms, but only if you are attacked yourself. All who need equipment and wish to discuss this move must send me a dove at once.

Since when was war in the contract for you, Julius, not obtaining knighthood land. Stephen Rothman was a knight who placed the land of Kallahorn for the knighthood that served it. This land passed through the change. I do not see why you want such worthless land. Quit begging me for it and quit insulting our members if you wanted peaceful negotiation for land. This truely saddens me that you would go to such lengths for a worthless bit of land. I do not wish to fight you over this, but if you insist on being a neusance over something so insigificant, you truely are not in the right mind.

Let it be known Dantagon, that I understand your ways. You claim your a knight, but every time I have seen you at a fight you've always been shouting for another to help you. My brother you fought with 12 others, Dain you've fought with many others before, Wind you've made me fight with at a unfair advantage as well. You are not a Knight unless you can stand alone by yourself. Tis your weakness and we will make reality. You can choose to end this war diplomatically. I give you 3 dwarven days to give me a answer on the lands of Kallahorn, and then physical actions will take place.

The bit of land is needed for more purposes then you might think. Unlike you, I like to be secluded from the others of this isle, so therefore the fortress that will be built in it's current spot will be a great position for me. I offer peacefully today for the last time for the lands.

If you wish to build a fortress of your own, then the knights may give you the land. I shall send a dove immediately to tell the builder to tear down the building so that you may freely use the land as you have requested. We do not want the land to begin with. But first the knights shall discuss before you gain anything. You have not sat down with all the knights, simply stood and spoke to me.

A dove has been sent, the knighthoods will hopefully becaried out by the buildingmaster. You may then have the land if you decide to play nice. The knights will discuss. Personally, you can have the land for all I care. It has no sentimental value to me.

Dain wishes that we have the Building as well. The terms must include the building. As I stated, I will offer 100 for the building. The land should be given to us anyway, for it was never truly given to you and your not using it at all. We have a good cause to use it for.

A contract has been written and agreed to on the Order's part. Let it be known though, that the contract is not valid until Dain agrees to it as well.

The Knights of Gobaith have signed to this contract with the Crimson of the Wolf and the human Dain Laden and have accepted to the following terms:


- The ruins of the Keep of Kallahorn and the land that was previously in possession of the knighthood shall be given to the Crimson of the Wolf and the human Dain Laden once the pay from both subjects have been made, and all involved subjects have signed this contract.

- Julius Rothman is to pay a gold coin (hundred silvers equivalent) to the knighthood.

- Dain Laden is to pay a gold coin (hundred silvers equivalent) to the knighthood.

- The Knighthood of Gobaith and the Order of the Crimson Wolf, in present and future form and name, shall remain at peace, except in the name of justice and defense of the isle, for ten years, that is till the 1st of Elos Year 34.

- In cases in which the peace is broken for the sake of justice and defense, strict responsibility will be taken upon the offending parties and will be dealt with accordingly.

Drethek is perhaps one of the brightest fighters on the isle and highly skilled in the uses of a blade. Julius i hab meeted up with da one known aus Rawn aund he is doing well in his trainin'. I believes dat once he reciebes all required materials fer advancement he should beh moved up ter da rank of Gallent.

Dat is da gud news, da bad is dat he is very illequipt, when meh meets wif him he wears old leadder armor aund uses a not so gud shield. If a warrior is spected ter defence himself he sure beh equipt right. I cud do little fer him aund since yoo say yoo incharge ob da armory, i come ter yoo ter ask yoo ter equipt him aund any oders in out ranks who needs it. He needs gud chest plate, grieves, gloves, boots, and prolly a helmet or two. Aund on dat note i also needs grieves, gloves, and boots. I dont know if yoo hab place order but here dey are writen down.

Ubbdiwak Waggek has been accepted into the order on this day. A recruit of the Town Guard and skilled warrior, he will bring a bright young talent to the Order and the Path of the Shield.

Gabon Corad has been granted prmission to switch from the leader of the Shield to the Leader of the Path of the Blade. I will take over as interim leader of the Shield until we find one suitable for that role.

Perhaps we have found the future leader of the Path. Altrix, a Lieutenant in a foreign army, and being a man quite skilled with the blade has decided to switch from the Path of the Blade into the Path of the Shield. Instead of starting out as a Cortage, he will be given the rank Gallent. He will given the chance to audition for the leadership of this path.

Also, on this day, Zhas 20, The Order of the Crimson Wolf and the Orc Horde known as The Skull Crushers have allied themselves. The contract is posted below:

The Order of the Crimson Wolf and the orc horde, known as The SkullCrushers have reached a agreement on alliance. Both offer there protection to one another in times of need. On this day, the 6th of Ronas, year 24, the Knighthood of Kallahorn has been resurrected. Members from the previous guild will be transferred over in accordance with their rank. All alliances and contracts will be kept as well. We shall usher in a new time and a new way of thinking. Tis a rebuilding project, not a war. Wish us luck in the quest to restore a tarnished Knighthood.
