The matter of the kidnapper has been taken into hands and punishment is
being agreed upon. I assure you that this will be handled justly for the crimes
committed.

On another matter, I also wish to warn those of Troll's Bane of two orcs
about. Their names are Gabon Corad and Rugh'toh. From what I have seen
and been told, they had assaulted the man Jorokar Sladrir without given
reason. Witnesses claimed are Drathe Blue, William Elderberry and Drethek.
No reason was given from Jorokar for them to attack. Nor did he raise his
sword first.

I ask all to keep an eye out for these two orcs who, after being asked to
leave town, refused and only left after attacking.

Charges Upon Scall, The Kidnapper

• - Let it be known now that kidnapping and further action will not be
  taken lightly, neither by the town of Troll's Bane nor by the Judge.

II.I D. Assault
Assault is a crime which involves attacking someone with one’s fists or
wounding him to the limbs in non-lethal way (and without cutting off the
victim’s limbs). Guards should note that only residents and citizens are
protected against an assault.

• - The victim Kaila Galathil bore bruises and other
  wounds from the assault of her kidnapper. Thus, the convicted is charged
  ONCE with this crime.

II.II D. Resisting Arrest
Resisting arrest through physical or verbal means is a crime under the
law. Trying to prevent the arrest of someone, or sheltering him/her else
by the same means is an equal crime under the law.

• - The convicted repeatedly tried to escape from my very
  grasp. He did not go quietly to jail and resisted after Eli Travinus told that
  he was under arrest. Thus, the convicted is charged ONCE with this
  crime.

II.II G. Threat and duress
Threatening a citizen or a resident with violence, or trying to force them
into doing something against his will is crime against the law. Guards or
other representatives of authority can never be charged for this without
the approval of the High Judge. Residents are protected against threats or
duress only within the walls of Trollsbane

• - The victim, Kaila Galathil, as well as her unborn child were both
  put to verbal and physical threat by the convicted. Thus, the convicted is
  charged TWICE for this crime.

II.II F. Robbery
In cases of thievery where the victim is threatened to be harmed by
violence the crime has to be considered as Robbery in terms of the Law.
When violence is used the crime has to considered as assault or attempted
murder and robbery. It should be noted, that only citizens and residents
will be protected against Robbery.

• - There was a ransom of 500 silvers put upon the lives of two
  innocents. Thus, though the silvers were retained, the man shall be
  charged with the attempt at robbery on ONE count.

II.III H. Kidnapping
Capturing or holding someone against his will is a crime against the laws.
This does not apply to criminals and a guard or other representative of
government is never committing a kidnapping. It should be noted, that
only Citizens and Residents will be protected against kidnapping.
(Kidnapping of a citizen should be treated as III.III crime)

• - Being as both the citizen Kaila Galathil and her child, of which
  make two lives, were kidnapped, the convicted will also be sentenced with
  TWO counts of this crime.

• - Charge of 1 gold
  - 5 weeks imprisonment

Pointless nonsense has diverted attention away from the things that we should be doing domestically in Troll's Bane. I have worked a bit on some things that have long been overdue:

Property
The map is updated to reflect recent changes, mainly that the three people who made agreements about land have all given up their claims for various reasons, that land is now public again. Second is the new flats near the eastern wall, are now shown on the map as F1 and F2. Those who are currently in the flats, or the inn rooms, are also listed in the property section. I also need clarification on the buildings with ? next to their names, mainly the building labeled "O", if the status is not cleared up for it soon, it will have to be reclaimed by the town.

The town currently has a large sum of money, over 800 silver currently, and I am holding it to see if any building option become available. If that doesn't occur I have back up plans to deal with the treasury, since leaving the money in a chest does no one any good.

Town Guard
The Town Guard is currently recruiting actively for new members, regardless of their current experience in using a weapon, that can be worked on over time. See either myself or a current guard member if you are interested.



I also need the elf known as "Starling" to see me as soon as possible, because there have been complaints about your behavior. I would suggest you clear these up quickly.

In front of witnesses and in the town square a Dwarf named Horus did attack me(Dedra De Ariaus) unprovoked. I was engaged in conversation with Galvin Tjime and Horus was pestering us with small theivery which we attempted to ignore. He was unsuccessful and I think wounded as I did stand my ground. He should be informed of consequences for such behaviour in the town. He also threatened to "get me back one day" I assume for the wounds he recieved... for his ill advised folly.

When serving the criminal known as Scall his mandatory labor sentence he attacked myself, breaking my arm, and recruit Letia and escaped custody. Apparently, he felt it necessary to escape a simple weeks worth of labor that would have made him a free man, instead, he chose to make himself an outlaw. I leave the sentencing for the High Judge to decide but I request an immediate bounty and possibly a death warrant for this criminal blatant actions. I even told the prisoner directly about what he was to do and not do.

As I sat at the cook fire next to the workshops in town, I was attacked by a stranger I hadn't seen before. The man was a human, his description which I studied was, 183733****. He spoke not a word, and I had to run for the depot to retrieve my arms, hoping to deter him. Though I injured him, and asked him to stop his attack instead of continuing, he pressed the attack. I ran and, as I was near death, found Densul Alac't who came to my aide. I eventually escaped, with Densul cutting the man off from me, but the stranger then proceeded to attack Densul, also without relent though we gave him a wide berth in which to run away. In the end I mustered my strength and ran to Densul's side before he himself would be killed. We slew the attacker.
I ask that the town guard keep a lookout for this murderous man, and that the citizens be on their guard, in case he has not learned his lesson.

I have met two elves who have had the misfortune of being robbed through the use of force by an elf calling himself Gretin Woodsoul. The victims are Arahael Athelas and Walkul Woodheart. Walkul was actually killed in the second of two robberies carried out by Gretin. Gretin was also seen entering town followed by an unidentified spirit accusing him of murder. After multiple encounters with this man, who flatly refuses to admit to any actions, but has been seen selling the belongings of his victims by the workshop, I've managed to compose a fairly good description:

After another attack on Walkul, the elf then identified himself as Fanhill Frostmourne. Afterwards, I met the elf once again, this time he introduced himself as Galahad Dingo.
I can say with certainty that these are one and the same person, unless they are triplets.
On the off chance that they are not the same person, I can say Gretin is the one who has attacked all named and unidentified victims in this report. Frostmourne produced a dagger and attacked when cornered outside of Bane to be questioned about the last attack on Walkul. Galahad has not commited any criminal acts to my knowledge.
