I am unable to launch illarion on my old laptop. I know it used to work but now java just stays stuck at the "Starting application.../Downloading apllication." window.
It just stay there and nothing happens. I'm running windows 7.

After waiting half an hour it now says "Verifying application." Is it just taking an extremely loooong time? Maybe in another hour it will run...

not sure, i never had any problems running illa on a laptop. maybe giving your specs would help narrow it down for the devs.

Ok. I rolled back my version of Java and now it seems to work. Curiously enough I only installed the newer version this morning when the problem first occurred.
Either way Illa now works on my laptop as it should

Good news!
Note that the client was made for Java 5 and 6, not 7. It works with Java 7 for some players, including me, but not for all. The upcoming client will support Java 7 but not Java 5 anymore.
