Illarion IRC Chat and Chrome

Hello! Because it's been bothering me for the past 6 months...

There is a link on the homepage that takes you to the Illarion IRC Chat... Is that embedded chat compatible with Google Chrome? Just wondering if I'm just being stupid or not. When I click the link, I get all of the writing from the first half of the page, but the second half, entitled "Chat," stays blank, no matter how long I wait. (The part that usually has the IRC box, with people talking in it.)

That thingy requires the java plugin.

Its not working on my chrome to be honest, I'm sure there's a java plugin to get it to work.

I reinstalled the Java plugin (Version 6, Update 24, which is supposedly compatible with Chrome), but still no luck. The Java-checker thing on the Java website said I had the Java plugin properly installed, too.

It is likely that the irc plugin is plain and simple not working anymore. This IRC applet has a ancient code base that is nearly as old as Illarion itself.

How ever. Due the lack of alternatives and the lack of time I suffer, there won't be a alternative plugin for now. So I suggest you either use a different browser or you use a third party IRC chat application.
