Animation

Post by Caswir »

This thread is dedicated to Animation. Japanese Anime (or other types as well).
To me Japan is a fascinating country, I'd like to go there someday. Until then japanese animation and sushi rolls down the block will have to hold me over. So who watches anime here, in the illarion community? New FLCL just dropped the other night on Adult Swim, I have yet to watch it.

Naota... He has the same guitars as me >< (Kramer NiteV & Gibson SG)

Some other Anime's Ive been watching lately that have been good...
  • Fuli Culi
  • Galaxy Express 999
  • Captain Harlock Space Pirate
  • Star blazers: Space battleship Yamamoto
  • Inuyasha (Rewatching this series a second time)
  • Dies Irae (this one is good, set in Germany)
  • Ancient Magus Bride
  • Steins Gate
  • Code Gease
  • Devilman Crybaby (on Netflix)
  • Casshern Sins
  • Howls moving Castle, from the Studio Ghibli Collection
Anything on Funimation is good really...

Recently, I haven't seen too much.

Studio Ghibli is always a go to. Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are among my favorites.

@Dantagon: Princess Mononoke was one of my favorites for a long time. Seen some of Attack on Titan, it was alright.

@Achae: So you are like me, I created this animated avatar, that I have now. Using the opensource GIMP program. Also all the animated pictures & sigils I use in the thread "Night of the Crescent Moons" (viewtopic.php?f=88&t=41706). I like to use animated gifs, so it is rewarding when you can create your own.

Very rewarding but also very time consuming. The avatars sometimes had to be very small sizes which made it a challenge... another I had saved.. named dinosaur which is probably not the best name: Image

Yes, my avatar for instance I had to compress a few times to get the size under 8kb. Here is an alternate version of my avatar I decided against use: Image

I think I like your alt version.. being partial to stripes and the color combination is simpler.. easier on the eye. Others may disagree. :)

PS.. the game is really looking for people that can do 3D particularly models if ever wish to try..

Yeah I think I would like that, if you are serious. I've used programs such as Blender before, It wouldn't take me long to pick up on it. I could give it a try.
