Lore is a vital part of a fantasy roleplaying game like Illarion. A living lore everyone can refer to and that is present in the game greatly enhances the gaming experience and the atmosphere. The majority of lore that was created for Illarion does not deal with the game itself but places no one can ever visit, events that never took place ingame and people no one ever met.
I invite everyone who is interested in creating ingame lore - books, inscriptions, tales, history, descriptions of item - to a public chat. Please join this chat if you really want to do some work for Illarion and its lore. The chat will take place on 02 June 2014, 17:00 GMT (19:00 CEST). You can use the chat applet or join IRC channel #illarion on quakenet.

As preparation, I’d like you to try to answer these questions, using the available lore on the homepage and of ingame books. Please note that our characters do not need to know everything, but a proper game background should have answers to these questions.
- Who are the Yr, where did they come from, where did they go?
- Who are the Five Elder Gods, where did they come from, where did they go and why did they return?
- What is Illarion for a type of world? What lies beyond the area of the map?
- What happened in the lands of Galmair, Cadomyr and Runewick before the "settlers" (players) arrived? Why did the "settlers" even go to that area? Where did they come from?
- Who was that "Witch King", what did he do, how did he fall and what does he have to do with the Gems Of Power?
- Where, relative to our towns, live the Serinjah and what relation do they have to Galmair? How did their swords come to our land and why can a smith from Cadomyr craft them?
