I was just wondering.. calling someone an ass might be considerred to be too modern, but what about references to it like "Youre a pain in the ass", or "Kiss your ass goodbye"

I know its just a movie, but in Braveheart, Wallace said something along the lines of "Have your commander march across this field, present himself before this army, put his head between his legs, and kiss his own arse"

Ass is not like arse. Ass = american english, Arse = britisch english. So yess, Ass would be more modern then arse, hehe.

also...how about behind? or butt? You don't have to say "arse" at all.

Mother's love life?

Mother's love life could generate the worst profanities that I know of. Not a good idea, Nitram.
Anyway, swearing is not about reason, it is about emotion.
Hiding an "arse" behind a butt is just hypocrisy.
You might as well forbid swearing at all.

If it's soft, it's not really cursing. I can say kiss my daisy for all I care, but I'm asking about words that are generally considered offensive.

Generally, I have a guess at how old people are. I'll tone it down, and may ask others to do so as well, in areas where people will A) might become offended, B) Are known to be young or C) generally unneeded. But thats my perspective. I'll stop if need be.

Like in Troll's Bane, I saw a couple people yelling curse words. Yelling 'em randomly other than because they became mildly annoyed. If it seems like it fits, fine, but when newbies start yelling them around all the time, I get nervous. It seems less for the purpose of rp and such, and more for the point of just cursing to curse.

And yeah. I'm one of those people who does get annoyed when people aren't attempting to capitalize words, or put periods in.

because when people talk like this all the time it becomes this annoying string of text and sentences dont seperate very well at all like the weather in town can be cloudy and four people are talking about it but at the same time some one else is talking about dragons flying through and raids on the town and suddenly people are confused about who said what and what is being talked about and nouns get confused and then insults are made and suddenly there is unneeded hostility ig when a simple period or space could have helped ease the situation

And yes. I have seen it come to such things.

I remember the days when I used to hang out with a rather....mentally challenged orc (you know who you are  ) and his swear words usually consisted of "Dragon turds!" and "Dragonf@#ck!" those were the days....not really relevant I guess but my swearing is usually limited to damn and the occasional arse thrown into the mix.

Okay, I got told off for the F word, Bastards okay as it is a medievil word. I would suggest using old words. E.G
Whore is an old word but try use wench, harlet.
But obviously not all old english swearwords are appropriate, the use of the word nigger i think wouldnt be good to use, although at that time black people were generally used as stable boys or servants.
I'm not sure about other countrys but i know in england everybody pussyfoots around the race words and every other day the acceptable terms change.
From Black to Colo(u)red and back again.
I mean I'm certainly not raciest (Only against scots and irish :P) being that I'm 1/4 african and 70% of my frinds are black XD (Grew up in london).
