Very simple proposal:

Thread coming from dead piggies, sheep and whatever makes no sense.

So this proposal suggests the following:

1. Entrails aren't used to make thread anymore - they still drop so you can make sausages or whatever

2. To get thread, you weave it from sibanac

3. Sibanac should not require any skill to get, you just grab a sickle, use the reeds and produce as many as you need (perhaps with a limit, or not). There is no need to give more 'usefulness' to herb-collecting, since there is now the druid system

4. You process the sibanac into thread, and tadaa

Discuss.

And where should we get our thread from in winter? Or spring? Or fall? As far as i know, Sibanac can only be harvested in summer.
Another possibility would be to make thread from wool.

I like this one. You can choose whether you change the wool into cloth, or into thread.

I once investigated on this and during stone age, inners were actually used as yarn for leather. But Illarion is not stone age.

So, yes, wool->thread is the way to go. I'd rule out the whole sibanac process for simplicity reasons. Also, as a newbie, I would not get how to obtain thread from such a strange herb.

How to do this? First off, thread is an intermediate material, such as balls of wool. So, you'd need a static tool, I'd simply use the spinning wheel and add a menu that makes you chose balls of wool or thread. You then continue producing until you have no more wool.

For me, proposal accepted, script that, Hadrian :-P!

I like the idea also and only have a couple of thoughts on it.

Fighters turn entrails into thread in order to make carrying them lighter in weight and can also sell. Without the thread alternative, what is the use of entrails, should they be dropped at all?

Since sibinac is used 1. to smoke , and 2. in druid RP to dull pain.... if not for thread, should it be incorporated into a herb for potions?

Er...

Can't you already do this?

I seem to remember you needed like 5 sibanac for 1 thread.

Sausages I guess will be their only use. They ARE intestines after all ;)
