Skillcap
Please answer the poll truthful. We can't proof who has voted for an answer. We won't want to change the current skillcap in a worse way if many players log out if the cap was hit.

This is a hard poll to answer by just a click so am amending my answer here:
If I am not big into RPing at the moment due to time in RL or that particular char, or just inclination... I log when the cap is reached.
If I am interested in RP I don't wait until the skill cap is reached to look for it therefore the skill cap and "encouragement" to RP with it reached has no effect on me, some chars I haven't seen a skilled cap in ages.
If there is something in particular I am in game for to make or do... I ignore the skill cap entirely.

kommt total drauf an.
Ich will 1000 Getreide?

Depends honestly.
If Ive gone specifically to skill then and the location I'm in is very remote (to the point where I can't even find interest to solo RP or explore) then I log.
If I'm hunting a rare item or or looking for coins then i will stay long after cap, until my goal is reached.
If I'm in a place that isn't to far from where people are (since basically no one ever wants to go to any town except Bane this is rare) then i will go to the immediate closest town to RP
And finally, sometimes I bite the bullet and go to Bane. (more often the not sadly)
Most of the time I simply only work to the first skill cap anyway

Depends on what mood i am in.
If i want to work / train a bit, i do that first and then check if there is some RP around when i hit the skillcap.
If i want to RP, i don't care for work / training, and just log in to find some RP, usually in different places. If there is none, i tend to log out without working or training. But if i decide to work or train a bit after there was no RP, i tend to log out as soon as i reach the skillcap.
Some activities, especially training skills, usually become so boring that i tend to log out before i have reached the skillcap.
If i log in to reach some production goal, which has been a while since i did that (cause endless running from depot to production place and carrying stuff again and again really annoys me), then i also don't care bout the cap.
In short, if there was no skillcap, i might end up staying logged in a tiny bit longer, but only on days where i intended to work / train, with the puropose of training especially.

I only ever cap by accident ever, there's only been about 10 instances in the past year where I've actually gone out with the intention of skilling and not just gained skill through doing a treasure map or fighting a monster or whatever, so this doesn't really apply to me. But in those instances (training commotio), I was at the pigs anyway so I just went off and rped. Whereas, when I cap by accident because I'm fighting a monster or whatever, I just carry on doing what I'm doing regardless of the cap.
Only time I've logged during a cap was when I was learning from language books so I would read a page before school in the morning and then log and by the time I was home I'd be uncapped .

Depends on the Situation.
Normally, I look for some RP when I reach the skillcap.
But when it comes to the point that I produce things 'cause I need them for RP reason, I continue till I'm done.
It's rather seldom. that I log out when I reach cap, but to be honest, yes it happens every now and then.

i normally rp. the only time i have hit this within the last year is trainging library research because of my character background. but generally if i am doing that means there is nothing i am interested in and was about to log out but thought to spend 10 minutes and cap it since it's still lowish level. (or at least get a couple swirls. the only other time this happened that i can remember within any amount of time was learning ancient at the begginging, but the i went off and roleplayed. because it took about 5 seconds to cap.

Now my statement. I startet this poll to find out how much players we lose during the mental regeneration phase. And this are 25%. we overthink to disable the whole skillcap thingie. Because we think noone will play more rp because of it. The ones who wan't to play rp aren't affected by the system. The ones who wan't to train their chars can stay IG and train. So they are available for roleplay too.
Mmmhhhhhhhayy be a good idea.Cassandra Fjurin wrote:Now my statement. I startet this poll to find out how much players we lose during the mental regeneration phase. Doesn't hurt to try for a while, I guess?
