I never like change. It's a bit nasty on my eyes, I prefer the old font, I don't like where everything is placed on the screen or the huge text boxes or the fact that it lags when you middle click and move down (despite the fact I have a high spec comp).

But there's no use arguing; it's not gonna get changed back so you may as well embrace it and compliment on its good features. e.g. it still just about does the job. Even if it does appear a downgrade it might appear better in newbies' eyes.

Surely someone could reinsert the old board style in, and give people the choice between the old and new via the profile menu?

Why are you guys so miserable. It's been a few hours, give it weeks!

I thank the devs for their work.

For me, it does not lag unless I'm using Firefox in my Fedora OS. I could try it with Firefox in windows, too...

This is completely possible with PhPBB.

Unless somebody actually deleted the old style ;)

Oh! I just noticed the background texture is static, very classy!

But I think Rukast's idea should be implemented.

Wenn man ausgelogt ist, fehlt der Trennstreifen zwischen
General / Allgemeines (Player Forum) und Newbies / Anfänger.

I agree. As Drathe/Alex say, I appreciate the work, but I liked the old forum.

I feel so noobish, but here is my question.

This is how the forum looks like for me:

Image

The huge font kinda annoys me. This is the font size I'd like to see:

Image

Windows settings says font size "normal", browser is Firefox 3.0.13 - how do I make the forum look like being made for normal people, not blindworms? I will not press CTRL-minus twice each time I visit the forum!

If you use Firefox, hold CTRL and turn mousewheel, to adjust you view.
Setting will be saved for this site only

The Problem is not the fontsize itself. It depends on your solution settings...

(Don't know, if this works with Windows Explorer too, don't ever use it.)

Again, I will definatly not CTRL+minus (or scrollwheel) each time I visit illarion.org. This affects other sites as well. The CSS-thingy seems to try to read my "solution settings", but which settings do you refer to? Firefox settings? Windows settings ("normal", no smaller font possible)?

The font is a bit unpleasant alright. Visually, the design is so much easier on the eyes.

If you get firefox 3.5 mister estralis, it'll save the settings for that site only ;)

Can't update software on this computer; on my laptop, everything looks fine. So, it has to be my settings, but I cannot trace any difference!

Screen resolution is 1280x1024, btw.

I notice on the index page the administor's names are not differentiated from regular users, and the moderators names could stand out more.

Just IMO

*nods once*

The look has improved towards seriousness and enjoyability,
though i miss two or three samll pictures, maybe..the logo(smaller)?, or some more ivy leaves?

Don`t know whether the order of topics has been changed from the old version,
yet i have a proposal for restructuring them maybe.

---

haette da aber vielleicht was vorzuschlagen.

Roleplaying Forum ((important to be moved up IMO;))
-RPG
-Guilds/Gilden
-Handel/Trading ((swap both words to "Trading/ Handel" maybe;))

Player Forum
-Newbies / Anfänger
-Support / Hilfe
-General / Allgemeines (Player Forum) ((could also stay on top of this list))
-Proposals / Vorschläge ((do wonder whether it needs to be moved higher;))
-Off-topic & Test
-Legends of Illarion((could maybe also be above OFF-Topic, though i think it fits fine here, according to traffic;))
-Illarion e.V.
Opinions, Additions, counterproposals?
---
Meinungen, Zusaetze, Gegenvorschlaege?

I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet surprisingly, but when you're in the "Post a reply" screen and you scroll down to previous replies, if someone used a quote in their post, you can't see any of the text inside of the Quote Boxes. It's probably because the quote box color is the same as the text color, so you can only read the text by highlighting it.
