Saying Goodbye

I'm afraid the time has come that I must leave Illarion behind as a part of my own personal growth. I feel I've given it all that I could muster the energy to give, and while my energy and time was limited, I like to think Illarion is better for what I've done for it.
I can only hope that the changes I've made to the climate and the way the staff operates continues in my absence, and I've little doubt that my replacement, Alsaya, has the ability to not only replace me but surpass me.
If there is one thing I hope to be remembered for at Illarion is that I put the focus of the staff back on building a community. If two things, I'd also like to be remembered as a controversial, hot-tempered, bastard who wasn't afraid to shake things up for what he believed is right. =)
Unfortunately, the problem is that I haven't actively played Illarion... well, ever really, but not even on any level now for years. It's just more and more stressful trying to build a community when you don't really feel you're part of it. As I've become more busy with my studies, and, well, different games, I found that coming back to Illarion was a chore, and I don't like that feeling, because it started as a passion.
In any case, I wish you all the best, and the roleplaying mmo set is a real, real small community. I'm sure I'll see a lot of you again.
Some few shoutouts:
Estralis, if I only had your dedication and drive, I really could have changed Illarion a lot, but I've always been a burst of speed and then I run out of energy. I'm glad to see the work you're doing now and how it stands to really put your mark on Illarion permanently. Of all the GM's, you're the right person to do it.
Arien, sorry that I was such a prat the first time around. I'll miss working with you. Give 'em hell.
Alsaya, trust in yourself, dear. I was just warming the seat for you.
Nitram, I genuinely like you, Nit, even on the occasions where I hated you. Thanks for keeping the world turning, even in dark times.
Vil, you've always been amazingly supportive. Thanks for everything.
Lennie, you've always been the genuine article. Thanks.
Naer, you've put up with me even when I didn't deserve it. You are owed many cookies.
Martin, it's rare to find someone you really consider a friend online. I don't know how many times I've thought "God damn, I wish Martin was here to see this" or I've laughed at something and thought "Only Martin would get why this is funny." Someday when you're a famous physicist/Olympic skier, look me up.
