Aegohl's Day Off

Post by Aegohl »

Once in a while comes a day for your favorite Head of the Questing Department to have a day off and spend time with friends putting away dark beers in his belly and luring unsuspecting young ladies onto his lap.

Unfortunately, this one came in the middle of a lot. There's a lot of players expecting stuff from me today and my PM box is full of unanswered PM's from players.

Don't worry! I'll get to it tomorrow! I'm not ignoring you! =)

If you need help with anything, my team is (in totem pole order of time invested on the staff):

Naerwyn
Garou
Revan
Mesha

And, of course, there is also the Seer team (in the same order):

Arien
Estralis "Not-to-be-Forgotten" Seborian
Loralyn
Zak

The only place where none of these people can help you is with the main storyline, which it is hoped most of you are aware is going on now. =) That will just have to wait for a day.

Thanks,
Mitch

Aegohl surely does love the players.

A few of you GM's could learn a thing or two about HR <.<

Once again I need some time off. I'm working long shifts over the holiday weekend. I'll be back completely on Sunday and popping only a little until then.

Still on sickleave, headaches and what not, so cannot make any appointments. Sorry for the person I had scheduled for Thursday, but I'm still bleh. Have to manage work and all such things, so it's a bit rough. You can still send me PMs and questions though..Those are easy and just require minor time investment on my side.

Sorry for stealing the thread Aegohl, but it suddenly seems to be turning in to an absence-reason-kinda-thread.

*steals thread again* I should be back from sick-leave by Thursday. Could any player that had something arranged with me, which got cancelled due to sick-leave contact me? This includes people who PMed me but didn't got a response. Thank you. :)

I went to a doctor...Guess why I think it will be all gone by Thursday? And the headache was the main thing. Like, it was behind my eyes, which is really really annoying. I am not sure you know the feeling, but if you do, you will know. Also, I was throwing up in toilets. That hurts, when you have nothing left to throw up.

But anyway, I am backies, and should be feeling better, so contact me if I have to postpone stuff! Still have a headache now, but it is getting less.

Here's what my nifty book says to that:

Migraine often starts after eating stuff that contains one of these during the (last) day :

1. Tyramin(e?) (an amino acid) : Chocolate, red wine or riped cheese
2. nitrites (often used for conserving meat in cans or salami)
3. (mono-)sodium glutamate (taste amplifying spice, often used in chinese food)

May be caused by only one, or all of the above. You can only experiment to find out.

Eating more carbohydrates increases the level of Serotonine in the brain - eating more fruits, beans and other vegetables may work on that.
Especially Vitamin B6 is said to help as well, even if you don't lack it. A fresh potato of medium size contains more than twice the amount than a piece of meat has.

If that's the cause, you might be able to avoid it. If you can't because it's too tasty, well, you could try eating lots of potatoes... One fresh medium-sized potato is said to cover up to 30% of the minimally required daily amount. If it's a good potato. =D

The more protein you eat, the more B6 is used by your body. An overdose of B6 can usually not be caused by natural food (more than 500 mg is considered an overdose), so you can usually eat as many potatoes as you like. Your tummy should explode long before you happen to reach an overdose from eating potatoes.
Avoid chemically synthesized stuff, that will be much less effective than the natural one and it can be overdosed. It also may have other chemicals in it which can cause side effects.

HAHAHA, Damien said, "tummy"...that's the most hilarious thing I've read all morning. For whatever reason, I've always thought that word was used for a hobbits -- yes, in real life I call children hobbits, I don't know if that's just a side-effect from playing Illarion, but whatever.

@Egg Roll, I MEAN Aegohl: Taking a day or two off is overrated and is only for accounts and people who prefer to ski rather than snowboard. :)

Taking a day off can be quite a relief if you had a whole bunch of players on your throat for a while. Statistics say that staff people have a much higher rate of ending up in mental institutions than players have. therefore, it's necessary for staff persons to do take free days now and then to keep their very sanity.
Wait.
Did i say that word ?
Sani... BWHAAAHAHAHA, HUAHAH, KYAHAHAHAHA, MOOOO-HAHAHAAA... *laughing maniacally*
