Tried some of the quests today. Quite fun, mixture of stuff for everyone I guess.

Are we going to get some sort of quest tracker interface at some point in the future?

Oh I love the setting.

I was a bit unsure about splitting the playerbase, but now there's a real "us or them" and "Good for the town" feel. Plus you can be sure that if you play a greedy little character you'll be in good company in certain places.

I'm with Ezor on this one. Maybe you met a character who you'd think would be useful to remember him later, but don't have his name. You think you'll remember "Guy threatening me"'s appearance in a week?

Other issue I have is the lack of 'free food' which seems to be around in some areas - as discussed here:

My biggest gripe is the monster spawns being REALLY close to the town. This is especially a problem for crafters. I am having this exact same issue. After a while of playing the playing field goes black (I can still see the chatscreen and the map and everything).

Happens a lot to me when opening a container, if that helps.

Lighting seems to be very random for me. I was walking around the Cadomyr road which is straight and has nothing overhead and it goes dark/light/dark with every step or so.

Sure its a bit rough around the edges, but there seems to have gone an extreme amount of work into it, and there's a lot to explore, lots to see and lots to do.

One of my chars 'regularly' buys clothes just so he can throw away his old wardrobe and replace them.

I also like to give tailors and poor chars some money by overpaying them.

If you're on a laptop there are some laptops/keyboards which put special keys instead of the F-keys (dell ones are an example).

You may need to hold down a Fn button or something to actually get F-whatever.

If you need any pointers, help or some simple and basic NPC tutorials to get used to the language just ask me. Send me a PM if you like. Writing books shouldn't have a problem once you get used to the xml - which shouldn't take more than 2 minutes.

There's always something to do... I'm sure he just means that instead of having one log, you'll have a ton of logs each with 1 months' of stuff. There's no reason why it shouldn't keep the old ones as well you know

If you have an ancient book and you're not learning the right skill, then it could be because:

A) Your character isn't intelligent enough
B) The Ancient book isn't "Signed". Get someone who knows ancient to 'sign' it for you.

I don't think removing CCC is a good idea. I think other programs need it.

If you want to, stop it loading on boot time. But if something bad happens see how you're going to solve it. When I removed it from my laptop to install updated drives the screen shrunk to 800x600.

If you javaws -viewer, does the Illarion client appear in the cache or something?

We'll need a bit more information. Does it actually start to download or does it crash?

From the client login screen - Under the 'remember password' checkbox there's a dropdown called "Language". Change that to "English - the new language" and you should be good to go.

If you want to 'maximise' the screen run it in full screen mode.
