We already had exhausting explainations why this is going to be wrapped up in one big update instead of several smaller ones:

In short: Too many interdependencies of all parts involved, which makes it impossible to implement one thing without the other.

Carefuly re-read what I have written, and/or read the manual.

If, in my example, you do not hold Shift, you would see "Text 1", but to get "Text 2" you have to hold Shift.
Both are bound to F2.

Yes.
Ctrl+F2-F6 saves the line you have just entered, it can be recalled by simply pressing F2-F6.
Ctrl+Shift+F2-F6 saves the line to the alternative bind, you can recall it by pressing Shift+F2-F6.

Function-Keys can have alternating bindings, depending if you hold Shift-Key or not.

  • Mounts
  • Pets
  • Running/Swimming
  • Cleverer Monster
... they pop up every month or so.

That argument would be valid, Alexander, if the players were only allowed to make characters who just left thier home at the age of 18, without having any background at all. Creating a character at the age of 50, with him being a baker for the most part of his life, should grant him some skill point...
