Sitting in the streets and commenting on other character's lives can also be fun. And so is pretending that they're performing a play for you.

I'm 100% sure that there's no intention to implement something like that. I want the game makers to spend time at more important things. Why waste their time with this, when, as you have already said, that this can be roleplayed.
