I agree with you man, but that olny keeps our problem constant.. we can't have other settlelments populated if everyone just stays in bane..

Thats why there are more than one town.. The whole idea was to somehow make people use other towns as well, not all croud in bane and let the other settlements be deserted. :)

That is a tottaly IG matter.. as SIlverbrand decides to keep their gates locked and not allow anyone in, why wouldnt Bane and every other town do the same? There are always people arround that are able and willing to help a new person, be it with a few tips or by pointing him in the right direction....

Lets say Mr Alpha is the guard. He would tell Mr Y why he isnt allowed to use the anvil and instead of kicking his butt, Alpha helps Y to become member of Bane....easy, aint it?

Thats a good idea, but seems to me rather .. well, dunno.... Tell you the truth, even if my house would have a +10 smithing anvil, id's still stay in bane because I have everything that I need there: pigs, tools, mine close by, people to RP with, teleporter, mule, etc. I think that a better solution...

That sounds like a GM attack for me.
The rules say that you are not allowed to go afk, in order to prevent powergaming, so most of the times, when a GM finds afk chars, he spawns a monster next to them. Happened to me 3-4 times.. luckly that i only alt-tabbed and heard that I was under attack. :?

Because it's easier to walk 1 tile than casting a spell, lol. Making the spells to intrerupt the rope "casting" is extra work for nothing .

If Illarion is meant to be a proper serious RP game, then why do we actually need a rope tool? Everyone on the game can roleplay being tied up and will give some characters a chance to break free, I don't see its very good that a character with say 18 strength can be tied up by a female crafter hal...

The rope has a "cast time" like a potion. If you move or attack the "caster" when he is tieing you up, the action will fail. Seems fair to me, i dont see anything overpowered here.
