I like the four color style as more informative but if using the single color, a way to differentiate the seasons would be nice.

Graphic style alone, I think the four colors is fine since the colors appear slightly muted and they blend in well with the page.

I can see the char pics fine, that pic only shows when looking at the screenshots.

Do people still have this problem? Yesterday I froze/crashed more then ever. When checking task manager java was over 200,000 k.
