People...not only the story, but also the apperance AND the attributes make a char! Someone with strength 8 is totaly different to someone with str 14!! Changing your Attributes a big way also changes your chars!! This is true, but there's a slight problem. Just as your character's story and appear...

Completely agreed, here. Powergamers want the higher powered characters, so they powergame. For those who don't have the time, they roleplay higher-leveled skills. The sad aspect to all of this is that the skilling is not actually realistic enough for "realistic" roleplaying. In real life,...

Maybe allow different leveled trainers aswell? The higher your skill becomes in something, the more you must pay a trainer to teach you. And then stop the ability to be trained altogether after a certain skill level is reached. Just a thought.

Hm... Maybe, instead of giving you skill directly, the books just speed up your rate of skilling? Or increase your cap? I'm not really sure how much good either of those would do... Me sleepy.

I understand the emote... I just don't like the fairness aspect. You can see someone pulling out a sword just as easily as someone conjuring a ball of fire... It wouldn't really make a difference... People would just answer questions based on what they think will give them the attributes they want. And when they don't get those attributes, they'll delete the char, remake it, and try again.

Me thinks that's a really good idea, actually. It would follow the theory of magic (assuming that skill loss is caused by massive amount of mana being required), and the RP reasons of why only the Academy can get a teaching room.
