Fun Fact: Greenhouses were in existance in 13th century italy and a similar thing was practiced in Roman times. Exactly what I was thinking. People have known how to do this for a very long time. The main reason for this came from not being able to supply healing potions to Troll's Bane inhabitants...

I guess I will flesh out the concept purpose a little more fully. This is not intended to be a method of power-gaming. Trust me -- with an alchemist, adding an herb garden would NOT make it easier to power-game their alchemy skill. It would actually be much more difficult than the normal methods of ...

Everyone with magic class "mage" who possesses at least one rune is, technically, a mage. To the druids, everyone is either a mage or a druid however, unless it is a bug. Indeed. Druids cannot see "Mage, Druid, Non-Magic". They can only see "Mage" and "Druid"...

The real role-playing atmosphere and good(?) folks have kept me coming back to Illa since I was 13 and freshly graduated from Runescape (yes, Runescape -- you can imagine the horror of my n00b days here). Illa was something totally "other" and totally magical. I've always loved it. Great m...

But you could check if a char belongs to the mages-class. Well, currently every char belongs to the mage-class, except druids. :P Yeah... I started reading that and was like "Uh-uh!". You cannot find out if someone is a mage by the examination runes the way that they are intended (since a...

Druid Wand-Like Ability

Mages can use wands to have preset spells cast quickly, correct? I (and others) find that, as druids, it becomes very tiresome to be constantly having to move every item I want to examine, as my full rune list covers half of the universe when it is opened. Thus, I'm simply proposing that there be so...

The only true dual-wielding that happened historically was with rapier and dagger for a time during the rennaisance, so I'm not at all opposed to taking dual-wielding out of the game. It's more realistic with a single weapon.

There is a plot. It's just a bit subtler than many may think a plot would be. *cough cough wink wink* Some conflict (beyond petty squabble) is/was bound to happen.

Thanks for shedding more light upon all of this, Mesha. Your posts have been helpful and informative. :) I am not totally against an invasion, as it could be fun. And after that, I guess we all just move to another town since we are going to become criminals due to resisting the new reigning power. That's what I was planning on doing. However, if this is (as I fear it is) indeed to have the staff in control of the town, then I firmly oppose this. We can't have the staff interfering with IG politics like that, it takes the fun out of the roleplay. Agreed. My character, for one, will always be opposed to the invaders, since his cu...
