What I suggest, is that if this goes into the game, everyone will have magic. You can start off by saying, 'Well, we will just make it heavily limited.', because as cool as that is, it doesn't take long at all to get huge amounts of gems. Then the answer would be to lower the amount of gems availab...

Thanks to all the brave warriors at the battle today. I apologise for the less than inspiring roleplay that came from my end, my creativity was rather lacking today. I hope you all enjoyed it none the less. GM Velask. Enjoyed it a lot, epic battles are nice every now and then;) I'd have commented t...

I would like to remind everyone that a meeting will take place in 40 dwarven minutes. The topics of discussion are mostly related to The Tinechor, but we will also look into a selection of other things.

I am glad to report that the training session in Silverbrand was a success, although I was the only representative of The Militia. I believe we reached an understanding, and are one step closer to a constructive alliance. We also received a gift, which I would like to hand over to one of The Elites,...

I firmly and totally disagree. You claim that the 'end-work' of a smith would not be hurt. However, you are ignoring something. A large majority of the things smiths can make aren't used. Not to mention the fact that carpenters are, "Oh, look, what is that thing chained to that table holding a...

I'll give an example with Car-industry. Craftsmen are the Car manufacturer/assembler. They have the goal of making a certain type of car (item) for which they need an assortment of resources, semifinished goods and so on. For them, it's important that the resources have the qualities they are looki...

Well, no. You see.. that would either mean that the magical weapons become a little pointless (if the masterwork items are more powerful) OR that crafted items and more importantly craftsmen become nothing but middlemen in the whole ordeal, while mages who enchant items make the big bucks. Then mak...

Re: Scrolls

Just for information: I never intended it to be so that Arcane Crafters would be responsible for making all magical gear or such. That would be so ridiculously overpowered in favour of mages that the mere suggestion is silly. In case you were thinking that. ;) That depends entirely on the ammount o...

Re: Scrolls

The only way this suggestion would work (that I can come up with it), is if the creator of the scroll looses skill. For instance, four levels for an unexperienced mage, 2 levels for an experienced one (simply because it takes ages to PG magic skill at higher levels). You are not able to create scrol...

Mages are SUPOSED to be more powerful than fighters (and if they still are, is discussable). If you want to change that, poison is not the obvious way to go. Dragining mana would be a FAR greater punishment to a mage than loosing atribs would be for a warrior (believe me, I play one).

You attack Matt's suposed lack of arguments, Pell, as if your arguments were anything but accusations and made up facts. Perhaps, if you actually applied some logic to your words for once, 90% of the community would not be following this topic, ready to trash you.

Edit: Alex' suggestion sounds nice.

I like both ideas, but I am pretty sure that within a year or so, everyone will know which of the unique weapons is best. Then everyone will start looking for one, and eventually they will find it. At this point everyone will use the weapon, and it might as well have been a normal serinjah sword. I ...

Its impossible to get magic, because The Temple lacks BHONA and a teaching room, and Pellandria keeps making it impossible to be a teacher in the academy.
