Aww, invisibility would be so awesome for spying, but also so easily abused in combat. While shields against physical damage might give mages an outrageous advantage against fighters, isn't it reasonable to have spell shields? The only effect there would be to make mage combat more interesting, and ...

I'd assume that most of what's called 'good' rp can usually be attributed to two things;

1. The character was enjoyable
2. Descriptions, actions, and speech were well written

I don't think it's fair to classify rp as either good or bad. You're either roleplaying, or you aren't.

It's all well and good to say, "Your characters should be terrified of demons," but what happens if everyone actually plays them like that? The 'run away from the demon until it goes home' quest wouldn't be very fun, would it? I think a good way to inspire some fear, without being unfair, ...

If indeed the academy you planned was truely as close as, "the next weeks," from opening, what reason do you have to cease progress? The only things that have been lost are arbitrary titles, given that the mages in Djironnyma's academy had no intention to help you anyway. How does their op...

The problem is, there really aren't two or three 'good' mages, and certainly not two or three 'good' mages that are likely to be in the same location. Taking the stance that skills and items are 'impure' is ridiculous. Both add dimensions to playing the game, and if they're ignored, we end up with a graphic chat-room, and I'm not particularly interested in one of those. The choice to remove the account system was a good one, because with it in pla...

Both of these notices are terribly misguided in their attempts to aid the town. Providing a warrior with the position of governor in no way increases the strength of the ...

If the Illarion staff don't want to tempt a lawsuit, however frivolous, they can take whatever measures they want.

I just hope those measures don't result in an inability for me to display my joyful, and very legal, avatar.

I think it's fully reasonable for a mage to be able to get into places where a normal character couldn't.

I don't think it's reasonable to be able to completely bypass the gates simply by walking along the bank of a river.
