Re: What happened to Gem Cutting?

There are a couple of other things that could be going on: You might have 'outskilled' the gem you are learning with. For example, you can't learn from plates in carpentry to level 100, the same is true with gems. The gems that you should be cutting to gain skill are: sapphires (but not turning them...

Re: What happened to Gem Cutting?

I have actually gotten a skill gain in the gem-cutting skill in the last day. High level gemcutting takes longer, and 99 to 100 takes a ton.

Re: Honey house east of narguns plain?

Yeah, sorry about that. The quest isn't exactly broken, it's that I didn't fully understand a realistic way to complete the quest. Basically, there is a single tile that you have to cross over for that phase in the quest to be complete, rather than an area. Atleast, I think that is what is going on....

Re: Skill countdown

I get your confusion here. When it comes to farming: To increase your farming, you plant seeds, you harvest crops or seeds, and up until level 20, you can collect fruit. Teflon's idea was to provide a clear benchmarks for people to see 'Oh, this is how much time I need to play, or amount of work I n...

Re: How long does it take an alchemy teacher to analyze a pl

This is gonna sound weird, but when you are putting the plant on the table, aim for the area between the two legs of the table. If you are putting it on the table surface, it will likely register it as the tile above it, and then raise it to the top surface (on top of the mortar).

Re: Was there a time when Illarion had more than 10 players

Perception and reality are different, however, in many situations perception is reality until proven false. tl:dr Skilling no matter if you rp or grind all the hours, yields the same experience amounts, which leads to frustration for those who skill because it feels like their efforts are invalid. Re: Depots at Primary Harbors

In my current proposal, I would see them as linked. As it stands, there is an event that occurs with fair frequency that a person could just walk five steps to move the bulk of their goods from one town to another. At least in it's current stand it would take 10 silver per trip to move things, and s...

Depots at Primary Harbors

Idea: Add a depot to the Cadomyr, Galmair, and Runewick harbors. Reasons for desire: Harbors are currently mostly underused. Provides atleast some minor support to 'outlaw' characters, operating near towns. Helps provide some support to 'secondary' crafts (brickmaking in Galmair, fishing and bananas...

Re: New types of punishments

To throw some ideas in, which could be discussed. I could imagine shrines and altars as such areas but also that attacking a citizen close to a citizen-NPC has a huge chance to end up in the prison mine immediately, which they could leave of probation after some little mining. I can't repeat myself...

Re: Review of Chancellor System

I guess the disrespectful vibe came from the inactivity business. The chancellors pour in hours, the Don comes in occasionally when called upon, and then disappears. There isn't any outside interaction, to bring forth some of the camaraderie required to make a team successful. And that is a struggle...

Re: Player Governments/ Evil town

Fair warning, this might just be a pointless rant. I haven't been posting about this because I felt like I was too close to the issue to have a voice, but, here we are. My mentality towards Galmair leadership has been and remains the same: Galmair is a gang. It's power structure is held together by...

Re: One eyed God

There are a few different ways you could go about accomplishing the task of a spiritual shaman. As was stated somewhere before, the followers of various gods may not tie the domain of a god directly to them. Take Ronagan for example: From what is known in the lore, he could be followed and looked to...

Re: Repairing Items should lower quality

I would suggest that there be a lesser cost of materials per item, so there is some advantage of repairing over starting from scratch. If you have to repair with the same materials to go recover one quality level, you may as well just start over from the beginning, unless you are attached to a very ...

Dear Athlon, Thank you for your inquiry of the sewers of Galmair. This has been a much discussed topic among some people of Galmair. The sewers were built, originally, for the purpose of keeping the waste of Galmair away from the towns folk. However, living on a mountain, it soon became evident that...
