Also die generelle Anpassung der Skills bei der Erstellung eines Chars fände ich sinnvoller als Skills zu übernehmen.

No, you just have to change the graphic settings in the options. Set them on high, when your pc can cope with that, and i'm sure you'll see the map as parchment as well.
