You hear that it seems a young lady is sleeping at the base of the naldur tree in Troll's Bane, in a spot that you could not even get to in the past days, clutching a sun herb in one hand.

This has happened to me twice now... Once, I got the bag out of my depot, then when I tried to set it on the ground to give to someone else, it disappeared, taking all 50 items in it with it. (And that was a lot of work!) Then again today, I went to take a bag from my depot to get the items out of i...

The 'elf' in question is named Slasthulphus. He seems fascinated with the concept of economy, of buying and selling things. He must be found and convinced to go back to the Plane of Earth with the spirit in the naldor, or far worse than a few errant plants in town is likely.

For, I believe, the third time now: I *like* the skillcap and think it's very effective... *when there are other people to RP with*. My complaint was that there is little to nothing to do then *when no one else is on*. I would much rather RP, when there is someone to RP *with*. When there's no one e...

I know there's no way to track them or anything... as I said in the very first post, I realize there is nothing to be done, inside of the rules, to 'make' him give them back... which is why I appealed to his decency, in helping a newcomer feel welcomed. I didn't share this to try and attack anyone i...

If they had all disappeared at once, I might agree with that. But they disappeared at the steady rate of someone picking them up... ie, each item disappeared just as he tried to put it in his own inventory. It's still *wildly* possible perhaps that they *all* had the same decay amount, give or take ...

It's that he offered to give them back, set them on the ground, and then took...

Extreme dishonorable RP

Okay, lousy title, but I couldn't think how to title this... Earlier today, a friend of mine, who is very new to the game, went to try and kill mummies (far too early). He was killed from the poison after getting out of the tomb. Normally, this would be nothing more than a rather disappointing, but ...

As I said, the only thing I can really think of to help it would be to provide some RP-centered activity that would help reduce the skillpoints in your 'pool'... true powergamers probably wouldn't bother, or at the very least it would break up their ability to barrel through it. Perhaps sitting at a...

Skill cap

Alright, I understand completely why the 'skill cap' is in place (that you can only learn so much before you are 'too tired to concentrate'). It cuts down on powergaming, encourages RP, yadda yadda. I think it's a pertty good idea. However... It is *extremely* annoying when you're basically alone IG...

It isn't that simple to get wood for most carpentry items, especially arrows. Because the fir trees, as grow in the forests, are not the right kind of tree... you have to have decisuous wood, which means, Appletrees. And there aren't that many of them.

'Unusual' character abilities

What is the Illarion etiquette if one wants a character with a skill or ability that is either highly unusual, or not encompassed within the 'normal' boundaries of the game? For instance, my main character, Maggie, is a long-standing RP character (I've been playing her since birth, and her mother fo...

I tend to agree that lots of little bits seem to be better than the 'big' scenes... it encourages RP much better, for one thing. It gives people something to talk about and rumors to swap and things to try and piece together. And not everyone knows everything that happened.

I was just wondering if there were any plans in the works (I realize they could take a while, just if it's even being worked on) for there to be any sort of customization for the character sprites?
