That blew it. No typing now.
F keys work and shift/ctrl/alt. But normal typing has gone again.

My system works fine with win 98 and DX 9.0c It worked fine with Illarion until the V0.98 update. Korm's problem is something different at the moment (on top of the Illarion problem). Have you tried reinstalling your video card/drivers since changing to DX 9.0c? Or maybe try a slightly older version...
