No, the point of the thread is for some new ideas for spells to be voiced, and if the scripters like them, they will implement them, it is not to have a debate about how much stronger magic is than fighting. How they can decide if they like them if only "positive" effects of a spell can be written ...

The last two posts have nothing to do with this thread. Having more spells does not mean more mages. And again, rusting of items is a matter of balance. My post is extremely relevant to this topic: Shooting down retarted ideas before any time or effort is wasted into scripting them is extremely use...

I really liked your RP in the shop and in the tavern today - well-written, spontaneaus and funny. You're not new to this, are you?
I've had some experiences in the past, but it's quite some time since I've played a game like this.

Ps.
You were fun too.

To extent the variety and colour of magic, to introduce new and deeper tactics, to open up more opportunities for mystical and magical RP and arcane research. I want to extend mages into actual mages, not just chumps who can throw fireballs. Its not about power or ability to pwn, its about the whol...

Actually i can paralyse every fighter, then he can do than nothing, not even run away (wat he could do if he would be only transformed). So what did you agitate about? You fear that the mages have become a spell becouse you mean it is to mighty and ignore that there is a spell ig witch is even migh...

But the curent situation is that a medium mage has the chance to be owned by a newb fighter. Common man, this is crazy... Mages should have to power to shape the world, not to be killed by a "who-do-i-pk-now-person" And what's the alternative? I resent your notion of a "medium mage" being able to l...

Considering how hard it is for a mage to learn and become "more than avarage", he should be allowed to be stronger than a band of worriors. Mages should be defeated only by other mages or by exceptionary fighters. It's just too damn hard to become a good mage and beeing pwned by medium fighters it'...

Mages should be good after time, indeed, but they shouldn't pwn a band of 10 or more rather good warriors.

All I got to say, I can't think of any spells right now.
But it's OK if the just own 9?

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but implementing those would probably mean utter and total mage ownage in pvp. I'm a noob and all that, but somehow I have been under the impression that mages are supposed to die if the combat ends up being a hand-to-hand.. So introducing a shield means that not...

Maybe that's simply to create variation? I mean, there are mummies of different melee strenght as well.. Nothing to cry about there.

When it comes to it people will fight till their last breath.
Even when in horrible pains, with their limbs cut off and liters of blood gushing out of deep wounds? Some maybe, but that's probably the exception rather than the rule.

But won't this make all future appearances of said demon a bit boring? I mean, if everyone simply runs away..
