Re: Proposal for Community Forum

What is the status of this proposal? Are there any plans to move forward any time soon?

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

It is a self defeating cycle. If we sit here and focus on how no one is currently ig, we will not log in. If we do not log in, then others will look at the game and not want to log in because there is no one to play with.

You break this cycle by logging in.

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

Then what would encourage people to get back ig? I can, and have, been ig for hours doing idle craft work hoping to eventually catch someone wanting to rp. Does no one have a desire to do so any more? What do you want? What would bring joy back to the game? Events? GM run quests? A weekly tavern nig...

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

I feel the overwhelming need to come back to this topic and add to it about forum posts. First off, if you leave a post unsigned or label it as unsigned, your posts will essentially be ignored. If you sent a letter to someone IRL, and there was no marking as to who you are or why I should respond to...

Strange Happenings

Something strange is occurring in the fields outside of Runewick. Dark clouds and lightening are appearing around the pillars, and crops are growing at an alarming rate in the fields. The local farmers are curious and concerned. I am hoping some of the local mages could shed light on what is going o...

Re: Artifact Creation

I think it would make sense for magic to have something pertaining to necromancy. So skeletons and other undeads would fit. Unnatural monsters. Where as druids, being closer to nature, is more likely to call regular animals, and perhaps make friends with more sentient forest creatures who would come...

Re: Some propsals

I think part of my fondness for the idea of playing cards stems from the idea of giving something for the thinking and writing types that don't really have functional jobs to be able to craft. Illa has yet to invent the printing press or lithograph, so all the cards (as well as any manuscripts or bo...

Re: Some propsals

I think these are all very good thoughts and should be considered. Playing cards: Besides having to create graphics for the deck itself, we should figure out how many cards are in the deck and how it operates. It might have to involve a GUI (deal so many, shuffle deck, shuffle in a card, discard pil...

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

And instead we have 3 towns where it is perceived to be Runewick and Cadomyr VS Galmair. So instead of Red VS Blue, you get Red and Blue VS Yellow. This is not true. Not only members of the Bearers are citizens of Runewick. Besides creating a mechanical situation of how many towns game would contai...

And instead we have 3 towns where it is perceived to be Runewick and Cadomyr VS Galmair. So instead of Red VS Blue, you get Red and Blue VS Yellow. But now you have hit upon another real problem. Over dependence on the GMs. The GMs are not there to drive the story forward. The GMs are there to creat...

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

The issue is that the 14 existing players are spread thin across 3 different towns and there is no single "hub" for everyone to go to when looking for action/roleplay, like what Troll's Bane used to be. It's the reason I stopped playing, actually. Unfortunately Slightly keeps vetoing my idea of bur...

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

Before this delves into who is at fault and why and arguments and disagreements spawning from that, let's look at this from another angle. How can we, as a group, make it better? What can we all do to improve the situation? The same old player events can grow boring. Heck, even I don't want to just ...

Re: Town Reforms: A more dynamic system of participation

I think that time spent ig would be an easy measure, but lacks other details. It can also be used to gauge how active a person is. At the very least 8-10 hours a week is rather necessary to actively run something (how many of our current leaders have amounted 8-10 hrs ig this week?). There should be...

Re: Town Reforms: A more dynamic system of participation

I miss the sandbox approach. I realize it becomes harder when we have a limited player base. Even back when Illarion was at its strongest, settlements got abandoned. But you know what, that was what made it kind of great. You'd be exploring the wilderness and come across something abandoned. At the ...

Yah know what I really miss about pre-vbu that might help some of this claim to fame, allowing others to have their glory thing? Actually, I am sure none of you actually care, but I am gonna say it anyway. Guilds. Oh yeah, we currently have a few successful guilds in the game. Two houses and the Bea...

There shall be a short meeting for the Order on ((Dec 6th at 6 pm EST//7. Dec 0.00 GMT +1)) in the Villa Edwards. Non-members and those interested in becoming members are welcomed to attend. Prior to this meeting I plan to hold a short sermon to Bragon as seems fitting for this month. Those who are ...

Dan has been seen making trips to and from the temple of the five as of late. He seems intent on something as he passes silently through the town. Something of great importance seems to be on his mind.

Re: whats wrong now?

There was a major update about a year ago for crafting. When they did that some of the armor and weapons levels changed. Check your current equipment against your skills. This should be the last major crafting update like that so those are unlikely to change further. As for eggs, that should still w...

Re: Proposal for Community Forum

Again I'm not bashing this idea, just placing my opinions. However I do want to point out most other mmo games do not have an off topic forum, probably because they don't want to waste time modding it when the game is hard enough to moderate. From Runescape to Archeage and like every other mmo I tr...
