Re: What are you reading?/Was liest du?

Finished: Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero - Think Scooby Doo meets H.P. Lovecraft. Writing style is interesting at times and jumps between being prose and a movie script, but Lovecraft fans will probably enjoy the mythos. Starting: The Dream-Quest of Vellitt Boe by Kij Johnson - Also based on H.P. Lo...

Re: Where the Rp is at

A large, loud group of people gather in the Cadomyrian Tavern. Those outside might think that they are celebrating something and hear briefly the words "Baron" and "Baroness."

Re: Where the Rp is at

An army marches out of the Cadomyrian Market. Their heads are held high and the light shimmers off of their armor. They march south towards the temple of Sirani.

Re: Call for aid

Good citizen of Galmair, I, Sir Dantagon Marescot, do not for aid simply to call for aid to deal with a Cadomyrian problem. I call upon you to help deal with an Illarion problem! You wish for compensation for your efforts? Very well then! Your compensation is your livelihoods, your town, your famili...

Liberation of Sirani’s Temple ((Open rp))

Hushed conversations are had in the Cadomyrian tavern. “Has the Letma invasion been forgotten?” Says one man, peering idly into his half drunk mug of beer. “I do not know. But I am tired of sitting here waiting for something to happen. It is making me nervous.” Says another. A cane thumps upon the w...

Re: Level 100 Cooking/Baking

Another crock pot meal that I have tried more recently. I personally thought it needed more salt, but enjoyed it otherwise. One site recommended holding off on adding the tortellini until the last half hour of cooking so it doesn't absorb too much liquid and fall apart. 1 (19oz) bag of frozen cheese...

Re: Reports and happenings about the Mas of Year 53

Dame Katharina Ross, Sir Caine Trevall and myself stalwartly defended the gates of Cadomyr against twenty dragons. When the flames cooled we were able to survey the damage caused by them. The three of us managed to patch a hole in the barricade that was created by the dragons. The night has quieted ...

Re: Level 100 Cooking/Baking

I'm not much of a cook, but I have been trying to make better use of my crock pot lately. So here is one for a 6 qt slow cooker that my friends keep asking me for the recipe. Slow Cooker Balsamic Turkey INGREDIENTS: 4 portabella mushroom caps, diced large 2 cups grape tomatoes 2 cups diced onions (d...

Re: What are you reading?/Was liest du?

I just finished up "Ocean at the End of the Lane" by Neil Gaiman. Am about to start "Artemis" by Andy Weir Robert Jordan - The Wheel of Time series ( Which Brandon Sanderson wrote the final book when Robert died. Dantagon! ) Yeah, he got picked to finish the series. He actually completed the last 3 ...

Re: Announcement: Silver Gryphons//Ankündigung: Silbergreife

It is with great pleasure that I have the honor of announcing that Sir Caine Trevall has been raised to the position of Steward within the Order of the Silver Gryphons. Sir Caine has shown great effort in serving the Realm, as well as benefit fellow residents of Illarion. Not only this, but Sir Cain...

Re: What are you reading?/Was liest du?

I just started reading the third book in the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I absolutely love the first two books. Any Sanderson fans in there? Most definitely! I just finished Oathbringer yesterday. I think with that I have read all of his released Cosmere books. Still haven't gotten to his...

Re: What are you reading?/Was liest du?

Bill Bryson - A Walk in the Woods A book about an (attempted) go at the Appalachian Trail . It kinda confirms American sterotypes. Its a fun read, too. I needed a new audio book and forgot that I had been meaning to eventually listen to this (it is read by the author). Thanks for the reminder. :D

Re: Magical gem system (Changes)

I see at least one more option: Make magical gems consumables. I like this option, a lot. Perhaps every repair to the armor brings down the set power by a percent or two. Maybe five if extremely unlucky? Another thought that was suggested to me, do we really need 9 or 10 levels of magic gems? Could...

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

No, rp is not just standing around depots looming and waiting for others to show up. Illarion is about immersion. If you have to be high level, perfect attributes, lvl 9 gem set to be immersed in the world of Illarion, then you will not find it fun. Unless you enjoy PGing and Min/Maxing. I'll throw ...

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

Incorrect. I am not referring to making the perfect build or engine mechanics. I am talking faster immersion of characters into the world via rp. What can you do via rp to make a new character feel like they are actually involved in the world?

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

That is actually a really good point. It is hard to establish a character in the game and it is very easy for a newer character, especially that of a new player, to be over shadowed. Even as a returning player, it can be hard to find a niche in the community. Are there any thoughts on what could be ...

What are you reading?/Was liest du?

A topic I've been wanting to make for a while. I'm sure a few of us out there happen to be book worms and enjoy a good story.

Please no news articles. Audio books are fair game.

Reading: Brandon Sanderson - Oathbringer (Stormlight Archive Book 3)

On Audio: Ernest Cline - Ready Player One

Re: Kommunikation/Communication

So here is how I view the "German Speakers" vs "English Speakers" problem. It isn't a case of us vs them. Maybe a bit of language becomes an issue, though many who speak German, are also rather decent English speakers. Really it is the English speakers who don't know German. Gravitating will happen,...
