Re: mining permit

Look through the Guild boards for Varshikar. If the information has been 'posted' there it's available IG.

((posted in an uneven, careful hand, on the Troll's Bane notice board))

Please contact Elsi Lednem if you have any information about the Longsten family, recently seen in Gobaith a few days ago...

Excuse my ignorance, but why don't you propose replacements and script them? I mean, the npc scripting language is publicly available here on the boards. Instead of removing something that adds life into a sterile and otherwise rather dull environment, you should look for ways to improve them and p...

Have you ever looked at The Gimp? It's completely free, and it allows you to work in layers (much like photoshop). It gives you a lot more flexibility than paint.

Is there a way to be 100% sure of who he is? or 100% sure that he is not? that is the main question. I don't think so. Even if someone were physically able to meet both room mates, there would be the question of 100% belief of what they said. Perhaps a 'reasonable doubt' standard would be more appr...

If I were banned based on hearsay, without any method of appeal or official notification, I am certain I would say much worse things about the GMs. I realize that there are too few people trying to handle the work of administration, that they are only human, and that they deserve respect and underst...

I fear most prices are based on the fact how hard it is to craft something rather than the properties. While this is a valid first approach, in the end, properties should matter at least as much as crafting issues. And it is e.g. strange that the best helmet in this game ranges at around half the p...

the idea, first go round, is to try to capture what things really *are* selling for, not to decide what they *should be* selling for... Funny how everyone keeps debating 'should be'. Things are worth exactly what the buyer and seller agree they are worth.

At this point, I think the idea is for the GMs to recalibrate the NPC merchants prices to better reflect 'market' values.

The wiki price list now has room for price ranges, to better try to capture the real activity.

I've gotten spoons, bowls and plates by trading with carpenters. You can buy a scissors from the merchant outside of Silverbrand, and I think you can get a spoon in Greenbriar. ALTERNATIVELY you can post to the 'trading' board and ask people to send you a dove ALTERNATIVELY you can go to the various workshop areas, smiths make scissors and carpenters make spoons....

Playing historically accurate peasants wouldn't be a lot of fun for many people. However, we're talking about a peasantry in a fantasy world, which might be workable... or it *might* lead to peasant revolts... either option would be very much 'in genre' of fantasy literature and fantasy movies.
