Do you get the "You are encumbered" message? If you carry a lot of heavy objects, your character will move more slowly on different terrain types.

I also enjoyed the storm! What I had meant only to be a preface to my quest ended up being more fun than the actual start of the quest I shall definitely plan for more unexpected events, after seeing such good reactions. Thank you, everyone
