Hi, I have a new character and he is a miner. I can get iron and copper ore from the mountains near trolls bane but I cannot get any coal. Am I doing something wrong or is coal available somewhere else in a different mine

I am not sure if this has already been mentioned but I am having trouble farming. How can I get carrots after the plants have grown I cannot pick them as I used to. I am sure it's something simple, can anyone help?
