Mages shouldn't be making any sort of magical weapons, at least not the warrior mages that we have now. Runic crafters should be the ones that do magic weapons and that should be a different type of magic entirely so mages don't concentrate too much of the game.

The only possible way to do it properly is to have GMs be the teachers again. This wont happen I dont think because of lack of interest by nearly all parties to change it again.

Well that is the point, I would hope that no one no matter how much excellent weapons and items would ever be able to defeat a demon alone or even with 2 people or 3 people. A holy item would change this would it not?

I wouldn't agree on making demons weaker through use of holy weapons, undead yes. Demons are ment to be uber and difficult to defeat, and the ones that were thrown at us during the Negros quest we not that horrible, making them weaker wouldn't be good for the game IMO.
