Maybe in the distant future there could be a sneak skill. Where you could sneak around invisible to players and monsters for a certain amount of time depending on your skill. Maybe it could go along with the perception skill used when creating a char, compare the perception to the sneak skill and ma...

but that leaves an opening...bartender killed. bartender key item stolen, NPC disabled permanently until restored by tinkering with code, all just for the hell of it. the GM's would never hear the end of it...i want ale, reactivate the NPC, fix it

Ok, anyone who wants to rant on about how dull Illarion is or how much they hate it, do it here, where nobody can hear you. because bluntly, nobody wants to hear it. if you dont like Illarion and you dont have any constructive critisicm or proposals to make it better, find another game. Dont take up...

but there should be multiple elements...and druids should be able to make a salve so they get to revel in smithing goodness

Maybe there could be a branch of magic where mages could cast a spell on a sword to make it enchanted with a certain element...or a druid could pour a certain solvent on it... thought they would have to work with the blacksmith, maybe only have a limited time to enchant it after its smithed?

Exactly what do i need to smith things with handles? I have tried many things, (logs, branches,etc. in my inventory at the time of the smithing), but it alwayas says, you have failed , maybe because of the lack of proper supplies. What do i need for a handle?

I believe there could be an island that you start out in where there are a few NPC's that would show or tell you the basic controls so you could practice them before going out and making a fool infront of yourself running into people and trying to pick berries from 50 metres..
