Re: GM Abuse

Freedom of speech is not covered in the game constitution. Maybe you should try putting an amendment in?

Er, Nitram? You did not actually say that fast movement is not possible. You just said that a low connection speed can cause low movement speed.

Then make books give a higher chance of gaining a skill point for a while. You can't learn martial arts from a book, but you can learn techniques that need practice to become useful.

The current GMs are heavily on the side of German players. There's no disputing it. From the things I've heard, there's an awful lot of pressure on non German GMs to comply, and one current GM is utterly incapable of his or her job, due to the fact that this person is biased and inept. From what I h...

No, but you're sort of meant to write in a vaguely legible manner that doesn't look like a young child tried to press various keys at random.

I don't think anyone should get 80% for picking a package. Maybe closer to 30/40%. Enough to make a good start, yes. Enough for people who chose another package to catch up. yes.

Perhaps a newbie crafter COULD use the recipe, but with low quality, AND has to use the recipe for longer until he has memorized it. So say a master smith gets a 'recipe' for an item. He could memorize it in a short time, due to being experienced in such things. A crafter of lower skill would have t...

I'm pretty sure that the gods would let dwarves use their golems. Irmonom and...the earth guy.

Golems are religion based anyway. I'm pretty sure it would be fair to allow the gods to give them a sort of life...if the dwarves actually took the time to make suitable bodies.

Walking stone. Stones don't sprout legs and walk around without either magic, technology, or a mixture of both.

Unless dwarves have discovered the secret of making robots from rocks, those golems are definately magical in origin.

That does not excuse the fact that there were golems in the first place. Silverbrand has always been manned by older german players. These players are usually best of friend with older german GMs. A similar thing has happened with the grey rose. It doesn't help that Ghorn probably whined until the G...

How would it be handled in the event of player controlled demons and undead? If you use it once, would you NEVER be able to use it again on that character? Perhaps there should be a set time before you can even cast the spell again, rather than a confusing rule.

Maybe GM controlled building suppliers should sell building supplies in bulk, for a price. It really doesn't make sense for an individual character to stockpile an insane amount of goods. It makes more sense for the builder to keep a stockpile.
