Re: Character Names

Oooooooh! :D I think I KNOW who Aegohl is... hahaha, yeah, that explains a lot. Actually, makes a lot more sense. Another anti-K. [Contrary to your belief, I am quite capable of finding a singular action offensive without finding the person behind it offensive. Really? Well, that's odd, because you ...

a pirate is more fitting to use a scimitar, than a katana sword, but there must be real technical advantages to it. If all pirates found out that there are katana swords which are more balanced than scimitars - I doubt they would go back to their own blades. That is why I'm saying that weapons shoul...

there should be no best armor. every armor should protect from different things. And winning is the entire point of going PvP in the first place. You play a role of a character who engages in violence. The only natural instinct for that character, when he is in battle - is the instinct of a fighter ...

Bloody murderer! Pigs are sacred, they have as much right to be in our society as humans, elves, or any other living creatures or races. Believing in extermination of a species for the sake of your own survival is not only an example of selfish parasitism, but also a sign of universal disrespect tow...

No, Cliu. I just want my answer.

If it's okay to grow skills at any pace I can, why was I cut for growing them faster than others. As soon as I get the answer from the GMs, I will shut up.

Its yourselfs fault if you got banned or your skills get reduced, not the fault of the gms. Cass. I am not asking why I was banned. I know that I was banned because I was obviously asking for it. I cannot have this game take any more of my time, thats is why it's better to be banned. I was banned f...

There will always be a way to gain more skill than everybody else. Currently, it is being online long and often & working just a reasonable amount. From this post I understand that having more skill than others is not a big deal of a problem. But in this case - why were my skills reset based on the...

What the hell are you guys talking about? This topic is about flowery orcs. Stop this pretending, this fake discussion, trying to pull out problems and analysis out of your own finger. There is nothing less and nothing more to it: orcs go flowery not because of some character indetermination or inab...

All I can say is this: Orcs probably strayed away from the brutal path of violence, because they are probably afraid of being banned for powergaming, killing, and inapropriate behavior. Hahahaha. The only choice is to go flowery and tamed. Kinda hard to become a violent orc, when your skills a...

It's because it's not true. And Illarion tries to model that common RPG model. According to game designs, everything has to be "balanced". A mace balances out against a sword, because it is heavier. And should need more strength. Misjbar, before you post something, make it useful, other than referen...

Take a mace, and reshape its tip to have a sharp long spike facing perpendicularly to the handle - swing it - you will make a bloody flipping hole in a chain armor. Sharp weapons of SAME WEIGHT will always do more damage. If you and I were of the same weight category, and if I had a bihander, a ligh...

I'm sorry but it does not make sense. Why does it have to be balanced? That's why people invented shields in the first place. To have an advantage.
A person with a light sword and a shield should be at advantage against a person wielding a huge two handed sword and choosing to have no protection.

You're almost done, Konstantin. The answer is: The system is incomplete and not idiot-proof. Oh really? I don't think so. I got the messages rather quickly, and whenever I could not concentrate on learning, I went out and roleplayed with people, but did you care about that? No. The thing is: I don'...
