Likewise, I've enjoyed Malchus's recent expeditions with Andokai, as well as the campfire talks with him and with Asphy.

A report has been submitted to Beror Oakaxe, the royal sergeant. 5th Elos 80: Ironheart is captured We report that the possessed Cadomyrian Richard Ironheart has been captured and taken into custody by order of Lady Inara Valdris in Mas 79. Until further notice, he remains jailed in Cadomyr under S...

Possessed Richard was great during Mas, really fun RP and good fighting with him, and of course with all the others who were there.

A big parchment is pinned right outside Cadomyr's gate for all passing through to see. Travellers beware! Demonic undead haunt the roads outside of Cadomyr! Though our mercenaries and allies vanquished a great number of them, they're not yet all destroyed. While the western road and Cape Farewell s...

Need some muscle? The mercenaries of the Black Wyvern Company are always open for new contracts. You'll find no bolder lads and lasses in this land than us! Our blades are keen and strike like thunderbolts, and our hearts are as firm as the Nameless Mountains, knowing neither fear in battle nor mer...

Who could've foreseen that such an inconspicuous bottle would cause such trouble? An ordinary vial of clear glass, like those commonly used by alchemists for bottling their brews, lacking a label as much as any other identifying features, and filled with an amethyst-coloured liquid. A potion, no dou...

Malchus approached the town board with a satisfied smile on his lips and a coin purse in his hand, gently throwing it up and down on his palm, as if enjoying its weight and jingle. He pinned a short note on the board ere turning to the "Winged Sow" to spend some of his newly acquired gold...

A towering, eyepatched man lumbered into the Hemp Necktie Inn and sat down at the bar, the wooden stool quietly creaking under the heavy weight of the brawny, armour-clad patron. As he waited for the dwarven tavernkeep Borgate to pour him his ordered beer, he overheard the gossip about a mysterious,...

Malchus spared Runewick's announcement board rarely more than a passing glance whenever he came to town these days. Between old, yellowed decrees and dry screeds filling several parchments with discussions about Runewick's lack of professors, there wasn't much on it to draw the mercenary's interest....

Dear Nit Even if Celdea and Jroy are members of our mercenary company, Richard is not. He is an independent and recognised merchant of Galmair, unaffiliated with us Black Wyverns, having done business with you as much as with us and anyone else. He has no reason to lie about what he saw you do that...

A few days later, a new parchment appears on the town board. No doubt written by a paid scribe, judging by the expert handwriting compared to the mercenary captain's own, crude scrawl. To Assistant Margret and the authorities of Galmair, regarding the accused thief Netzach Nitzachon In Ronas of thi...

As Malchus passed by the town board again, he spotted Assistant Margret's latest parchment pasted beneath his own. He skimmed over it once or twice, but the mercenary captain was as puzzled by its content as he was when he read the first one. Whatever the note was meant to tell him or anyone else, h...

A poor choice. I hoped that our friendly talk last night outside of town had made you see my point. Or maybe you forgot it after stumbling into the woods and hitting your head on that tree? Do watch yourself when heading out of town again, the roads are dangerous. Signed, Captain Malchus P.S. Buy y...

Dear Netzach I'm glad to see that you're a man of reason. As such you will understand that having an uninvited stranger hover around our bag of gold within arm's reach raises suspicion, especially when suddenly a handful of coins disappear from it. Someone enriched themselves at our Company's expen...

A crudely scrawled letter is pinned on Galmair's town board. Dear Netzach Nitzachon You filthy pile of manure, mark my words: I hope for your sake that you use those seven gold you nicked from us Black Wyverns to book a ferry to the mainland, because next time I see your ugly mug, I won't be so kin...

Hey mate, really sorry to hear that. Hope they'll be well soon and that you'll come back eventually. Best wishes!

After a treasure hunt gone awry and a brush with Cherga in Chos, the mercenary captain finds himself compelled to rest and let his mortal wound heal. ((I've been pretty busy with work recently and still will be in the coming week or two, so don't expect to see much of me in the coming days. Once thi...

Likewise. I've been enjoying Malchus's recent adventures with Richard, as well as with Lyrica, Shevelle, and Jroy.

It was not unusual for them to leave at no notice and to disappear for days; such was their way of life as an itinerant bard and a mercenary. A way of life which the more settled people may have frowned upon as rootless vagrancy, but one which allowed the two to enjoy an untethered freedom which the...

The disputed executioner returns to the town board to leave another note. Though I'm no scholar of the law, but just a commoner abiding by the Academic Council's wish, I understand that the 3rd regulation of Runewick authorises the town guard and rangers to maintain security and order inside and ou...

A brawny, bare-chested weirdo hiding his face under a black cloth sack with a hole for his eye in it leaves a note below Caswir's latest announcement. Hail Caswir! I gladly accept this job. As my mercenary company's code prohibits its members from holding public offices, I shall consider my functio...

A scrawled note is left below. I've heard animalistic noises come from this inn's bedrooms more than once and, from my personal experience, advise against just barging in. No wonder that troll got angry, even they want some privacy and don't like being caught with their pants down. Signed, A regular...

Drawn by the summer sun and lush green of the woods, Malchus set out on a hunting trip. When he occasionally returns to town, he only does so to unload hides and meat, and rarely lingers ere heading back into the wilds. ((I'll be gone for five days. Though I may occasionally still log in then, don'...

Thanks to Yridia, GM Slightly, and everyone else who attended for the nice ceremony of blessing and purifying of the fields. I'll be looking forward to how the contaminated crops plot develops. Also shoutout to Greum for his fateful duel with Malchus. Great RP all around, as always. I love it when a...

I can only agree. Seeing that many characters rally around and work together on your Sanctuary project really showed how alive Illa's community can be. It had a little bit of everything; productive teamwork, chaos, some tensions between characters — all around great fun! Thanks for planning and maki...

Shoutout to our latest newcomers, in particular Yodrin, Oromaef, and Braithe! I really enjoy roleplaying with you folks, and am glad that you've found your way into Illarion and decided to stick around.

A letter is pinned with a dagger to the skull-adorned pole which marks the Sewer Papers' headquarters: A Warning to Clan Bloodbane from Malchus, Captain of the Black Wyvern Company We have tolerated the provocations of your clan long enough. Today, on the 24th of Naras 77, your clan's shaman, the o...

A parchment of striking size and content is nailed onto the hospital's door. Attention! Ever since Runewick's last medico left town, no one is responsible for maintaining our town's hospital. Accordingly, after tending to one of our wounded locals, medico Amelia Rotholz of Galmair noted the hospital...

As the recent building boom in Illarion shows, designing houses and other locations in Illarion can be a fun and creative activity. If you ever had a nice idea for a building in Illarion but not the chance to realise it, or plan to build something in the future, feel free to share your designs and i...

With his hands on his hips Malchus beheld the three horses presented to them by Brennar, his eye wandering slowly from one to the other as he gave them a scrutinizing look. He took his time, maybe more than other customers would, approaching each horse to appraise their frame and temper with the con...
