Please add Ninaine to the list of the characters that suddenly no longer exist. I tried to log in tonight and was given the message that my character no longer exists. Thank you for trying to fix this, any help would be much appreciated. Please PM me if you need any information on my account. Thank ...

3.) This is just a minor gripe, but the out-of-game politics were beginning to be too much for me. There are various folks who simply want to divide the players by ethnicity, age group, or roleplaying ability even outside the in-character forums. I was tired of hearing comments like that of Niniane...

They also would not allow the civilians to leave the city during certain hours so as to use these civilians as human shields against ...

There have been problems in the past with monsters just vanishing from the game. Because of this I can see why he posted here so no need to jump on him. Now that he knows, as do the rest of us, that it is some rp problem and not a technical problem I think the thread can die out. Thank you for brini...

I speak from experience when I say this, but every country has their own version of 'History' that they teach. When I was in High School (15-18 years old for those who don't have that exact term) all history taught to us, the students, was pro-us rhetoric that showed how wonderful the US was and jus...

A three hour day would mean that there are players who don't sleep for 3 or more days in a row. Each RL day is 8 days in illarion. That makes one RL week 56 illarion days. One month is nearly an illarion year. Human characters that started with an age of 30 would live, realistically considering the ...

You were supposed to follow that description on moonsilver. The description is not meant to be a description of the people who don't understand the specifics of each race such as those who play dwarven mages with no rp background for doing so, but rather a description of the 'common' dwarf so you kn...

Yes it is Paul but it is also a type of plant. Flowers make very good names for halflings, as they are supposedly close to the earth, jubilant, flowery peoples. It is the same as naming someone Daisy or Rose or even Violet. These are acceptable names even though they are real words because many peop...

A cloak that hides a character's number would be similar to a person in real life wearing a stocking cap and all black clothing and walking into a bank. You don't know who they are, yes, but you know they are up to no good and the guard will act (As it is now, everyone in illarion is in a way a 'gua...

I don't quite understand this proposal. If wearing a cloak would make that single character's number invisible and everyone else still had a number, everyone would know exactly who the thief character was because it would be the one who you couldn't see their number. This would be no armor and anyon...

Yes it does. Each weapon gives a different amount of parry or protection. Even wands add some. Your character will have an initial amount of parry. This is your ability to dodge a blow and is based on dexterity and agility as well as your parry skill. These all work together to determine your base p...

Wearing two shields is terrible rp for a mage and should be frowned upon. This is not a viable option to be accepted as a defensive strategy for a mage. In fact, it should be made impossible and one day if all goes well it will be. I think that this would be a better solution to your problem, Bloodh...

@Brendan If every wedding and every funeral would have the voice of a given God or Goddess they would lose their mystique. Just imagine how many weddings would take place as soon as this was available, and the GM's would have far too much work to do to keep up with them all. Another duty for GM’s wo...

You have to count arrows in the same way as you would count a sword. There are many characters that are specifically archers (not pk archers otherwise known as 'snipers' but good rp people who use the bow as their weapon of choice). If an arrow did not have the same effect as other weapons against o...

A war axe can hit from two steps while a fire sword can only harm the opponent from one step away. The swordsman has no chance of harming the warrior with the war axe unless he is close enough (a huge advantage if distance can be kept!). Once close enough the swordsman is inside the defense of the w...

Paul, What I think Fieps was trying to say is that the posts you made were unnecessary. Actions that take place in the game are not something that has to be acted out on the boards again.
