Perception and gathering

Hi,

I was wondering: does perception effect gathering in any way? For example: the amount of gold nuggets, or gems one might find while mining? Or maps hooked while fishing etc?

Re: Learning skills/mental cap?

Okay. So from what I'm reading there really isn't any way to "optimist skill gain", and you should just play as you like because it all evens out in the end?

Re: Learning skills/mental cap?

Thanks for your response! Hm, yeah I will definitely have to give that approach a go. It's unfortunate that things aren't more transparent though. I like structured, ridged rules so I can plan my characters/their skills/training... but whatcha gonna do? Level 99...? Ohh yay I can't waaaiitt... :roll...

Learning skills/mental cap?

Hi, I have heard of this thing called a mental/learning cap, and It has been difficult to find clear cut answers so far regarding how it works specifically. To be fair it seems fairly complex. I have read little bits and pieces around the forums and is seems to have been best explained as a constant...

Hi!

I was wondering if it is possible to alter a characters hair/beard style and color after initial character creation?

Change factions?

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to change factions? I assume there is some kind of npc I need to talk to somewhere, but I'm having trouble locating them.

Re: Unarmed fighting?

Well that's good to know it has some minor use at least (helping others train their defense as Q-wert said) but it's a shame it's mostly useless... Would it be unreasonable to suggest implementing some simple "unarmed weapons" that could utilize the skill and increase damage? Like... knuck...

Re: Unarmed fighting?

I don't think I have a mantis account to access the discussion. :s But you answers my question anyway.

Thanks for the info!

Maybe some sort of martial arts/monk class is something the devs will consider in the future...?? :)

Unarmed fighting?

Hello,

I was wondering if unarmed fighting is actually viable at all?

Or are swords/daggers/all other weaponry always going to be the better alternative?

magic/armor?

Hi, I read a while back that there is a difference in which weapons are more or less effective against which armors, and vica verca? Is that still a thing as I was wondering if I shoulder go heavy/medium/or light etc. Also, what's the deal with magic? Is it a thing players can learn yet? I heard the...

How essential are alchemy attributes?

Hey everyone. I've been reading about attributes and their use and I was thinking of creating a character, but I wanted to know: how essential are the attributes concerning alchemy? I ask because I want to make a fighter, who can also make cool potions so I figure I will need to be smart with what I...
