Teflon, in your second situation, if skill A is maxed, then it would no longer be raising MC and would be lowering MC while being worked. yes, that's exactly why. because of the quality, each needle is different and therefore cannot stack. a bit of pain, but that's what it is. tools are much different than all other items.

Yes, but it is not the NPC, it is the "talking spring"... you must double click on the spring. It might be easier to ask someone in game to show you.

I believe we may have different perspectives. Our player base is low, in European times it is a bit bigger, in American prime time it is even lower. If I log in the player numbers are more or less the same in the 3 towns, often there are in Cadomyr and Runewick more chars online as in Galmair. But ...
