Re: Open Source

Vilarion, I highly doubt I would open a server to the public any time soon. I imagine simply making the map would take me quite awhile. My passion is writing, and lore. I've picked up on other things along the way. I've been writing lore for my D&D campaign setting for years (as needed, or just ...

Re: Open Source

Hello,

Hypothetically speaking, a third party could use the source of Illarion as the basis of another game? If so, would the developers appreciate such a thing?

Cheers,
Michael

Open Source

Hello,

I was curious how open-source Illarion is. Is it strictly open-source for the development of the Illarion project, or can it be used for other projects?

Cheers,
Michael

Re: Sprucing up the place.

Flux, Just...Wow. That was well written, clear, and to the point. This is what is, this is whats planned, and this is what will be. I like you already. I don't expect exact formulas, even that is restricted to OSI UO shards on the stratics website and has no use for private shards. But a breakdown o...

Re: Sprucing up the place.

Dji, I don't dispute lore written for in game books is useful, I would like to impress upon you how important it is to have all lore easily accessible in a link on the homepage. I'm not sure if you were referring to this when you said "Anyway many of the points you told are known and on the mos...

Sprucing up the place.

Readers, I think lore should be an important update to the site, as it is, its extremely difficult to figure out what is/has going/gone on in the world of Illarion. This creates issues of where your character has spent the better part of their life (unless native to the region play takes place in). ...

Re: Netbooks?

Alright Athian! If this is still relevent, you don't seem to meet the minimum requirement of a dual core processor. However, the processor in your machine is 1.6ghz, whereas the minimum requirements say a 1.4ghz. Your integrated graphics card, the intel GMA 950 is directx compliant with up to 3.0 sh...

Re: Older Players

Why did you start playing, what were you looking for? - I started playing a week before the client change between "very old" and "old" back in... 02 or 03. I had just moved across country and lost all my D&D buddies.. I was twelve? Really into Runescape, which I played with ...
