Re: The overall roleplay and pitfalls.

When it comes to enforcing RP and game lore (something I 100% agree with) it really is challenging from a GM perspective. In essence yes it’s easy, pop in game, beam player to GM castle, explain reason, give alternative ideas/play style/alter/change and then return them to original environment. Simp...

Re: What's up with GMs nowadays?

I feel the need for a CM coming on. Now this is the story all about how your power gaming session got flipped, turned upside down and I’d like to take a minute just sit right there and I’ll tell you how I became a GM of despair. You were 4 players all locked in a room PG without any RP interaction, ...

Re: GAME EVENT - Pirates Life for Me

Feedback, questions and thoughts most welcome! Thank you all for your chars and atmosphere, was fun to see you all! The plan changed slightly due to lack of players. No big thing, we just had a more npc Vs fight then PvP event. I hopw you all had fun and it was not too slow. As for your chars. You h...

Re: GAME EVENT - Pirates Life for Me

If the character does survive I see no problem in them appearing on Gobiath. I am sure there could be a good reason for why they where no longer on ship. That said I would hope all the surviving crews (if any turn up) don’t just jump ship for land. This is a very experimental event, who knows if any...

GAME EVENT - Pirates Life for Me

‘Take up yer arms ya scallywags, today we spill the blood of the Scianto and ‘er crew!’ Bellows the Capitan. The men are already armed and ready to fight, hanging fast to ropes and side rail of the ship as it closes in on the Elven pirates. You tremble, hand gripping tightly at an old sword, knuckl...

Re: RP conflicts and Guidelines

An interesting topic here that almost answers its self. The guide does need updating, a little more clarity in its vagueness if you ask me. As has been said, good and evil are inherent in us all, are a matter of opinion, thought, raising, teaching and moment of circumstance. As a guide for such an o...

Re: minor changes and big problems

Ahh thats a shame, I had already done the lights in Silverbrand and all was working fine and looking nice. Good work on the rest of the towns though, looks great.

Sorry to the Dwarf players for the monster hunt quests. Posponed indefinitely.

Attack on Bane pics

Couple of pics of the assembling armies, more came later. I would have took some pics of the battle but... well. 30 against 2 defending bane wasn't much to take a screen shot of. http://oi52.tinypic.com/1zp6utd.jpg http://oi53.tinypic.com/hwy5ph.jpg These are just to give a flavour of the scale and ...

Re: To the monster spawning not to !gm answering GM

Why does it need scripts, over head tags and the like, just use a little Illa etiquette and don't idle in 'public' areas and main walks, job done and no dev time wasted.

Re: To the monster spawning not to !gm answering GM

Some interesting points here and mostly I agree with BUT idling in public areas or building shadows close to such will get a kick from me if there is no timely response. I’ve seen a good few times players trying to interact with idle chars, one or two even thinking they were NPCs. Sure we all get ca...

Auction / Auktion

Dearest people of Gobiath My name is Chen Shara and I am a collector and trader of rare and exotic items. I have been all over the land from sea to sand, forests deep and mountains grand. I come to your island in hope of finding something I have yet unseen. Do you have such a rare item to sell me? T...

Re: A panther in cage is worth two in the den

The ship was repaired, a new mast in place of the broken one and ready to sail the next day. Ballas the Dwarf had moved all but the last of the camp supplies to the harbour and was waiting there for Onox. The panthers were caged still, two of the three hungry and restless as they paced the small enc...

Re: A panther in cage is worth two in the den

The panthers had been captured, three fine beasts of black and all in good health. The hire hands of the town had done well for unskilled hunters subduing the biggest, strongest cats and hauling them to the waiting wagons. Luck would have it that the orks were few in number and although hostile to t...

Re: A panther in cage is worth two in the den

Hired hands wanted Men, women, people of courage and daring your help is needed to secure three large panthers with ropes and hard work. These beasts are not to be harmed but taken as prizes for a king. You will be paid for your efforts. Expect the rest of the Panthers to not act so tamed towards t...

A panther in cage is worth two in the den

In the early hours of the morning, the air still and sky a dull blue-grey, a battered ship docks at the harbour. Its sail is torn, ropes ripped and frayed and load strew about the deck. The cargo of wagons and mules are unloaded, those that are broken or lame are left to the ships Captain. Talk of a...
