A short note pinned at the Troll's Bane workshop

Would the human alchemist known as "Bloodwyn" please make a return trip to Vanima so I can give your bag back to you. Thankfully, there is not a lot of stuff in there, but it still needs to be returned.

Signed,

Druidism can be learned without a teacher, its easy Maybe so, but the books in the druidhouse present the information in the most confusing way possible, and there is a lot of it. At some point you will need advice from another druid or alchemist. And a mage can just experiment with rune combinatio...

That is quite true. My character carries around a comb so she can keep her long hair clean and neat.

If you were to add a scissors to that, you could roleplay a barber!

Alright, thanks. Now I can take bottled water with me on my adventures!

One last note: The 'Iron Goblet' some NPCs drop (like mummies) does not work for this. Looking at some early posts using the search function, it might be completely useless.

I guess there are three different types of bottles. With joey's help, we figured out you need a 'grey' bottle, which is different from a small or a large bottle. I was trying to use a 'large' alchemy bottle, thinking you should be able to do this with any bottle. Another question - how do I actually...

Filling bottles with water.

So I noticed that the Trolls Bane bartender sells different drinks. This ranges from wine (red bottle) to water (blue bottle). I could buy bottled water off of the bartender, but I would rather fill the (large) bottle with water myself! Which is what I have trouble doing. I tried using the bottle of...

yes but in result i have figured out a poison that works in 2 seconds and looks just like a heal potion XD mess with me now....booyah What happens if you or someone else gets it mixed up with a real healing potion? In combat, you don't have time to look at the potion to see what it does. And you mi...

Well, noting quite like some theoretical alchemical work with Elethua Ornorak (who isn't even an alchemist!). Without giving away too much information, it was a verryyyy interesting roleplay.

Well, watching the effects of Fleta trying out Joey's 'healing potion' was quite interesting. Based on what I told joey about herb lore and alchemy, and the effects of the poison, I think I got a pretty good idea of how to make the potion, and what Joey did wrong.

The in-game roleplay temperature.

Because I have found that many players do not seem to know about this. http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/9317/tempus.png Look familiar? It should. Note the colored orb in the lower-center of each calender. This is the ingame temperature. Use it in your roleplay! This colored orb does not indicate s...

Someone bring a character to Tol Vanima before Aleccia decides to leave.

Edit: Too late. Sunrise has come.

lol Alex ur talking BS. ur elfess never ended up learning druidism Not quite yet. I could drink the potion at any time, and will probably end up doing so during the course of my travels. I can easily repeat the potion-making process. What you can start out roleplaying as depends largely on your rol...

There is a lot of information to go through. For naming your character, look through what others have done for your selected race. (Lizards have a strict naming convention, ask a gamemaster). A human, elf, or halfling would be the easiest to play when starting out. For your character status, I would...

Problem solved. You need a LARGE bottle, not a small one. It is counterintuitive stuff like this that makes the game's learning curve higher then necessary. For common mistakes like this, it would be nice if the game messages were more helpful ("you need a LARGE bottle to brew a potion") (...

Okay, now I have a new problem. I got one cauldron, one meadow rhubarb (not making anything special yet), and one empty bottle. When I use the cauldron, I get a 'You need one bottle if you want to brew a potion' message. But I DO have an empty bottle in my belt, and the herb in my hand! Holding the ...

Alrighty, thanks. Unfortunately, I can't afford said copper kettle, and therefore must find a way to make money (running errands for other people).

Once I got the cauldron, I should be all set.

Trouble with potion brewing.

So far I am training to be a druid on my own. I pretty much got everything figured out (including a theory on making the magic brew you need to become a druid). Except for one thing - actually making the brew itself. You can learn druidism on your own. To brew a potion, you need a cauldron? , a bott...
