Re: Anachronism's in Illarion

I think brighteyes meant fighting as in killing monsters in general, not fighter as a class. In that sense a mage is actually a fighter

Re: Trollsbane

I as well endorse this, and will try to make the meeting. Two things I want to see: 1. elected council, which rules based on votes, not single person in charge. 2. crimes should no longer feed governor's pocket treasury. if a crime was committed, the fine should not go to treasury, but to the victim...

Re: * Parchments here and there*

Stop the hysteria. Let things settle. Felbion will open elections and probably form city council based on votes. You will see.

Alchemy economy (Gem dust prices, etc)

Please make gem dust craftable through gem cutting as a residue, or cost less than 50 coppers. It's rediculous how much time, money, and effort it takes to make a potion, especially with the rare un-sickle-able herbs, only to find out that nobody can afford or is willing to pay over 1.5 silvers per ...

Re: Priest way?

Why would you need permission from a gm that doesn't actually affect game play at all except to make it more fun for everyone? -"Hi, mister Jack, priest of Adron." -"Well hello there!" -"Would you like to make some money, so that you can buy more of that delicious hearty mead?" -"Why of course, of ...

Re: To the monster spawning not to !gm answering GM

How about a suggestion? If you idle doing nothing ingame (not walking, typing, sorting things in your bag) for a couple of minutes your skill cap stops fading. It also does when you switch out of the Illarion window and do sth. else. So you could idle without any problem, you would just not get any...

Re: Melissa is too high stakes

The going crazy bug tends to happen when a person says blind, and another person stands up from the table, in the midst of betting. To avoid that kind of thing, try to play games from beginning to end without immediately getting off the chair. Wait till you are asked to put a blind, wait till she sa...

Re: ~Free Druids~

Having met Cay and doing as she said, Haldrom decided to draw his letter to the druids in a picture, just like Cay suggested.
A letter arrives to the druid house with the following drawing in its parchment.

Re: Trouble With Game Start-Up

I had this problem. What help is this: download the Jar to your desktop, and double click it from there. Then the button is not grayed out. It saves your language in a file after you log in successfully, and next time it will be english.

Re: ~Free Druids~

"How can I send them a letter, if I cannot write... I hope that Owain keeps his word and warns them of my coming." The man thought to himself. -Come on, lads, let's get this loser tied up nice and proper. Re: Brainstorming on Noobia

Uh oh, someone did not take "Battle mage tactics" class in the Academy. Spoken like a low-end mage if you run out of mana that quick  Estralis was talking about high end mages with non-average stats. And yes, notice how I'm talking about high-end mages, I mean the powergamed/old ones with skill...

Re: All Washed Up (Open)

"Damn, son of a..." - his wind chipped lips mutter a list of obscenities as a sharp twig stabs him in the heel through the boot. Picking the twig out and discarding it, the man surveils around himself, his keen nose, long and frozen, picks up the scent of burning logs. Must be someone nearby. Going ...

Re: Brainstorming on Noobia

OK, I guess I have to add some words: The topic was Noobia and I guess it was suggested that magic is taught on Noobia and/or that mages should start out with some runes. While the latter is a valid proposal that will be discussed one day, teaching magic on Noobia is currently not planned. We want ...

Re: Being Pk'ed by a GM with no RP ??

We're working on that and for the time being, the Illarion rules hold: Actions of a character must not be adapted to the technical environment of the engine to maximise success. Characters have to react on external influences and must not be kept idle in the game. Could you please elaborate on this...

Scroll of Disappointment.

I come to the druid house and try to read a recipe scroll. Turns out, I cannot read it, because it is in a language I don't read. But the bastard still took my skill, 3 levels of blacksmithing. How can a scroll effect its curse, if I wasn't able to read the contents? What's the logic behind that one...

Re: Being Pk'ed by a GM with no RP ??

I don't see any reason to stop people from powergaming with the current system. Devices for slowing it down are already in place: 1. skill cap itself, which ensures nobody levels up too fast. 2. hunger bar - players have to take breaks for food 3. repairs and weapon replacements 4. encumberance with...
