Where will you stand?
A parchment is nailed to the door of the Trolls Bane Library. The text is written in a large and clear flowing hand. People of Gobaith! The eyes of the Gods are wide open and they are looking at you! For too long have you gone about your lives as if the Gods were mere legends used to frighten childr...

I'm not sure. It's not like deer and cattle are any more plentiful than swine. Takes the same amount of time to harvest from them. And do tailors usually do the killing? I only do it because there are fewer people selling leather than there used to be. Either way I thought it odd that only pigs give...

Question about animals.
When you kill a pig you can get leather, ham and guts.
When you kill a cow you get beef and guts but no leather.
When you kill a deer you get guts, venison and no leather.
Shouldn't you also get leather from deer and cattle?

Very helpful. I spent about twenty minutes this time as I skipped the crafters. My first visit as a true noob I did go to all of them and I recall it was very useful when I arrived in Gobaith. I believe I spent perhaps two hours in there the first time. When you get around to finishing the craft tea...

Evil walks among us!
(A large parchment hung on the door of the Troll's Bane library.) Leaders of Gobaith awaken from your stupor! The threat is great and the time has come to make a stand. The evil that has taken root on our island grows stronger daily. Do not think because you live in far flung places that it will not...

I did not mean to cause such a tempest here! I see and can empathize with most sides on the issues brought up. Firstly, thanks for the succinct synopsis of events. I now know where the story stands. (Talking to Edric ingame yesterday helped greatly.) Secondly, I have the utmost empathy for the GM te...

Where's the plot?
I know a character would not know all the details of what is going on but I seem to have lost the general direction the story is supposed to be going. Events have taken place that are not noted in the RP area and I am now confused. When Anarius was still alive there were factions moving in different...

Common depot.A question of theft?
Is there a reason we do not have depots that can be used by more than one person? Is it a problem of scripting or a simple question of potential theft? It would be useful for a guild I think, to have a depot that all the members could contribute and withdraw from. What is deposited in the depot woul...

Books missing
The bookshelf in the Greenbriar and Troll's Bane libraries that should contain the cookbook about meat and fish have somehow gotten jumbled. The cookbooks are gone and there are multiple copies of a newer book. When you "examine" the shelf it tells you the books are there but when you actu...

I rather like the idea that it is difficult and takes time to learn magic. The fact that one must find a player to teach you was one of the things that attracted me to this game to begin with. Also the fact that most of the ingame content was mainly player generated. Very different from others where...

Cookbooks missing
In both the Troll's Bane and Greenbriar libraries the Meat and Fish cookbooks are gone. There are now two copies of a book called The Liar or something. Would someone please check this and return the cookbooks? Both bookshelves still list the cookbooks as being there but they are not.

Whetstones are still very common. People who are serious about keeping knives sharp use them regularly. They were also a very common item in the ancient world. One of those things that couldn't be improved upon so it hasn't changed much in ages. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharpening_stone The only...

I do use it for single words most of the time. I think some of the difficulty is that we are trying to speak in an ancient style. When we RP we are trying to avoid modern anachronisms and to phrase our language in what most think is a medieval style. The block translators give a modern version. I do...

Are all the online translation websites that bad? I speak and read German just a little. (The result of being an exchange student a century ago.) I've tried, over the years to use it as much as possible just so I don't forget it completely. (It's difficult to find German speakers where I've been liv...

Every so often as I learn crafts I seem to "forget" how to make things? One day a certain item will there for me to craft and the next day it will be gone. It's as if I forgot how to make it over the course of a day.

Rate of item rot.
Sounds awful! What I'm curious about is whether different items rot away at different rates? I don't have enough wealth ingame to waste things in an experiment. Food would perhaps rot faster on the ground than metallic/tailored objects? Does fire affect the rate of rot? Items rot faster when thrown ...

Your Royal Highness Prince Anarius, Eldan always on your path, I send this letter by way of introducing myself and to make a plea. Depth of Roleplay.

A small piece of parchment is pinned among the rest. It is written on the back of a previously discarded note which has been neatly refolded and the edges trimmed evenly.
